I went down the water on the Paddle Steamer Waverley. It is the final ocean going paddle steamer in the UK. It offers a lot of boat trips in Scotland, all of which can be found on their website, which is updated every year.

That was a really good trip. I was on the Waverley from Ayr to Campbeltown in the early 80s. The Dolphins were Magical.

I really enjoyed it. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip as well. I managed to miss the dolphins on the way out, so I was determined to see them on the way back in. I'm so happy that I managed to see them.

I have such good memories of Waverley cruises, both as a child and as an adult. I've never been lucky enough to see dolphins though!

I saw them at Greenock. They were there on the way out and the way back. I don't know if that is where they hang out, or if I was just lucky. They were a joy to see though. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trips on the Waverley.

It's always appreciated. Yeah, the scenery was amazing, and seeing it from the water always gives a new perspective on it. So often, I'm driving through it, so I can't just admire it. But being on the boat certainly gives you the time to do so.

Never made it doon the water despite living in Helensburgh for a few years, Still on the bucket list. Highland Cathedral is not Lindsay's favourite tune though, with good reason, will have to change that LOL Lovely video.

Excellent and interesting video. I didn't realise that the new bridge was so close to the Riverside Museum. I'm hoping to sail on the Waverley when it visits the Thames later in the year.

I’m glad that you enjoyed the video and I hope that you will enjoy your trip on the Waverley. Seeing the Thames from the water will surely be interesting. Yeah, the new bridge is really close to the Riverside Museum. When it’s open, it will certainly make it easier to see the museum and the Govan Old Parish Church in the same day.

@@AScottishOdyssey My dad was born and raised nearby in Johnstone and he used to tell me about the old Renfrew chain ferry that crossed the Clyde near there.

@@ThamesShips Yeah, the chain ferry is no longer there, but the foot passenger ferry is still there. It goes from Renfrew and Yoker.

@@AScottishOdyssey I believe the old chain ferry is now moored in Glasgow on the Broomielaw and is used as a nightclub and entertainment venue.
