I had the pleasure of hitting the Mississippi river with some of the Do-it Molds crew! I relied on the ned rig to find me fish in the back of the boat. The finesse tactic worked and we had a great time fishing!

Hey Debo , I too luv the Fenwick Elite Bass series but mine is the 6'10" ML casting rod with a BFS baitcaster, I use it for Neds, 1/8-1/4 oz finesse jigs, 1/4 oz spinnerbaits & 3"-5" jerkbaits !! luv that rod. Also using a Phenix FTX-C71L with a BFS reel; running 8# co-polymer on both... killer rigs!!! thanks for the great videos !!!

I never thought about the Mississippi river running through Iowa. The Mississippi is what separates Arkansas from Tennessee and that's an hour from me. Anyway, I really never go fishing there. There's better waters around here to put my efforts in. Yes sir, I can tell you had fun on the river. I actually grew up fishing the Flint river and even more so, I fished the Chattahoochee river. Ned rigs definitely change when current is involved. I got to go for now. Just had an emergency situation happen while I was writing this

Sup debo, great video, catching them👊, nice a smallmouth, not many in RI, never got anything on ned rig, but in RI bottom like shit, they have been hammering everything here, and I'm in hospital, my luck, on live nurse put me to bed, only got 30 min or so, my first live in while. Frogs are everywhere here, maybe throw a monsterbass buzz toad doesn't have skirt, think lunkerhunt makes one and strike king? Ty tc

Good tip on the terminal weights. In current, you definitely have to upsize to keep that bottom contact, keep the bait where you want it, and not drifting 20yds downstream. 😂

Love the Mississippi River. I grew up in Clinton, Iowa and fished from LeClaire up to Sabula area. Lots of pools to go fishing in.
