Ah nice with the boots! Thanks for your input. And it's true, the wait time for food has always been an issue, so I see how simpler options could be one solution there. I suppose my personal preference would be to be allowed to bring picnics into the park until they are able to more efficiently serve hearty options. I know Evermore has always done their best in past to have gluten free, vegan, and other special dietary needs options. I've been very impressed with that in the past, so I'm happy to be patient as they find the best balance to make things work for the best experience in future.

Great question. There are a lot of ways to approach that. You could decide which of the guilds you would like to join and create a character you feel would fit in well with that group. Or you could use inspiration from characters in stories you enjoy. What type have you always wanted to play. A hero, a trickster? Are you searching for someone you've lost? Are you trying to prove your skills to become the best? What motivates you to help people in Evermore? The gold, to learn secrets, to make friends, to do help those in need etc? Start with where they come from, what their job is and what they are trying to accomplish and build out how they dress from there. My character, Lady Ravenwood comes from a fantasy world and her occupation is exploring other realms and reporting back what she discovers. Because Evermore deals with portals to other worlds in its lore there is so much flexibility to what kind of character you can bring in and where they could be from. I would only say not to have them be from one of the park's portal worlds since you don't know what you might say about Mythos for instance that would contradict what the park has written for that world.

I wouldn't know how to tell you which year is best to visit, but I hope you're able to make it over at some point!

I'm sorry it went that way for you. That sounds very frustrating. A lot of the quests are made to be quick. There's certainly a mix of quests that are meant to be finished in a day, in a few visits, or a few that take longer to be investigated throughout the season to accommodate people who come every day verses only once. It's a good thought that they could make it more clear which can be done in a day like joining a guild or basic quests from individual characters. If you do end up going again and want to find something you can finish in a single visit, I would tell the characters you are only in town for one night, so do they have a quest you can help them with by tonight.

My favorite hours to go if you want a three hour window is 7-10 if that is not past bedtime for them. That way you skip both the long line to get into the park and the hottest hour of the day. If you do decide to go at 6 keep in mind it's best to go at least a half hour early to wait in line so you will be able to get into the park soon after it opens. A mythos coins, evermore pin or keychain are all $15. There are leather journals and light up daggers that are around the $50-$60 dollar range. The train costs $3. The fighting arena costs $5. Archery and axe throwing are free.

@@everadventuress So I assume you have watched her video and you seem like a park regular I'm curious what you thought of it. Did she give the park a fair shake or was she too harsh on it? It seemed to me her main issue was with the owner and CEO.

@@Benjerman-wp2wo I did watch her video. I don't think she was too harsh on it in that her facts were on point. There have certainly been many changes in the year that has passed since her visit. Most have been good (adding interactive effects, covering up those wires, building more sets and photo ops affordably, making fake snow fall in parts of the evening in Aurora, lots of really lovely lighting effects, more shows that you can watch as a passive observer for those who aren't as into the questing, the opening of another building). Others, like charging more for less impressive food, (particularly the candy is too pricey for what it is) have not been good. Other things are about the same like the ticketing system often having issues. I think especially her points on how the quest rewards need to feel like there's real proof of accomplishment are spot on. The gameplay is for sure in a weak spot at the moment for me. That being said, yes I am a regular and I do enjoy going to the park.

that's totally understandable. If you have a friend to go with who is comfortable with social situations, that might be helpful. You might also go just to enjoy the atmosphere and observe and see if you start to feel more comfortable. Best of luck either way. ❤️

You can certainly just come to enjoy the fantasy setting and the more passive entertainment which varies from season to season (circus, magic, fire dancing shows)

If you mean the catacombs, and I think you do, then it's open until I think about 7:30 and then becomes part of the haunted walk through.

Coven guild not cousins 😉. Yes, Utah is big on fantasy and geeky fun. We have I think the third largest comic convention in the U.S. I have a couple of other videos that are more up to date than this one about how seasons are going. They've started cycling out guilds each season so one season the dragon trainers are there, the next season they may be gone but now the monster hunters are there etc.
