It’s taken me so long to track this down, I was beginning to think I’d imagined it. I was 15 in 1982, this was just the best.

Was eleven and had just started at the comprehensive school in 1980. Loved this series. Gutted they didn’t make a second series.

But there was a similar TV series about school leavers called Tuckers' Luck from 1983 to 1985. Which followed the adventures of a few school leavers from Grange Hill.

Like a take off of Tuckers luck. Especially as Peter Childs is in this as well as TL.

Nice one, Paul, you're a star! Remember loving this at the time, one of the few shows aimed at a teenage audience. Not sure it's stood the test of time, but really enjoyed it all the same. And great fun spotting appearances from actors who would go on to appear in some of my fave tv progs and films - Minder, The Bill, Breaking Glass, City Lights, Operation Good Guys. Cheers again!!

Hello Duncan - yes lots of the actors went on to bigger and 'better' things. But I still prefer this - takes me back to my youth!

Recorded them at the time - on Betamax, then on to VHS and then digitised. That's why the quality is a bit suspect!

Is the whole series posted, check out 'Johnny Jarvis' (BBC 1983) if you ever get the chance same premise as 'Going out' but a bit darker and hard hitting, cheers!

Southern lost their franchise around this time, think that's why no more were made. Oh, plus the fact Phil Redmond was busy with Brookside when Channel 4 started in 1982

Going out - jugg music. Unfortunately only the credits, I was offered the vinyl single once but considered it too expensive at £2!!!! It was a long time ago!
