Pi Cheolin is a huge caricature of an old korean man it SENDS. DK was my favorite in this, but the moments where Mingyu looks like he's dying inside are so good.

It's even funnier knowing they just improvise on their lines. They're just given roles and the rest is up to them. SVT improv kings!!!

dino acts like that not bec of his dad but thats how most ahjussis act. & the yawning thing with jeonghan was a spoiler for their track 'yawn' in 17th heaven. also just to elaborate this entire thing of dk 'seokminie' thing with the chains and everything is a parody of how a lot of k-rappers behave and act black or 'hip-hop-y' so its total satire. also i thought i should explain these but there's a lot of korean puns here so idk if i will be able to😭

ahh I feel like god of light music is such a good gose to start with for a new carat, you get such a good flavor for all members (excepting coups and boo) dino: he’s so clever with improv, he’s definitely the type who would do well on something like snl. the fact that he basically drove the whole plot and vibe of this skit with only a vague concept and no script is insane. it’s true that booseoksoon are the gag trio but I personally think dino is the funniest member woozi: absolutely no one thinks the members are as funny as woozi thinks they are, even when they make dumb jokes he always thinks they’re hilarious. we got to see some of his producing skill (definitely hot af) but also watching him have to compliment the members after they butchered his songs is so so funny. he went so hard for this gag, even arranging trot versions of svt songs, all while dying of laughter. insane. hoshi: he’s so genuine and pure, he doesn’t have a deceiving bone in his body, he’s the one who said “the seven of us?” to include vernon in the hand-holding/hug. he’s also just so ridiculous it’s cute af joshua: he’s the only one who never broke character even once, he’s so open-minded, adaptable, and accepting of things as they come, but still manages to be sincerely funny minghao: every time he had to say ‘jowajowajowajowa’ his eyes said it all. he’s so zen about it all despite the chaos and takes it seriously. he’s such a good counterweight to the more crazy outgoing members but has his own quirks and eccentricities that make him so effortlessly cool mingyu: you’re right that “ji woogae” means eraser, but “ji woogae” is also a callback to an older gose where the members proposed a character named “ji woogae” as a love interest for woozi in a drama. mingyu is really clever and works in past bits to new bits, he’s not only seventeen but a fan of seventeen and has such good comedic timing jun: the “yeon pil” (pencil) and “young feel” naming bit was so funny, i always love when jun’s multilingual skills come out, he’s low-key really witty dokyeom: what else needs to be said? he’s 100% willing to go there for a joke, he has no shame and will do any ridiculous thing to make the members laugh jeonghan: aside from his general adorableness, why did his trot section unironically slap so hard? his talent is slept on wonu: he’s the funniest when he’s not trying to be funny, and everything he does is cute vernon: he says does the most out of pocket stuff but it’s so fucking funny. I have a feeling that his role was made because he wasn’t feeling up to being active in the skit, which you gotta respect. his iconic laugh made it in, though. this whole episode was also such a good parody of the whole song-making process. when dino says “contracts are unnecessary, we do this for love” it seems like a dig at the way certain kpop companies are perceived as “family”-its a business, and svt are always so honest about how they work to be together instead of it coming naturally. they are not naturally good fits for each other, but rather make the choice to stay together regardless. this is real love. I also think woozi’s harsh direction in some parts is a nod to how svt used to get yelled at while recording when they were rookies, before woozi did the vocal direction himself. anyway, this episode was pretty perfect imo, only way it could have been improved would be coups and boo…

This is weird dry humor, but the GOSE BSS comeback special sketch was more of a fever dream
