Have a large club in my hometown. I know a few members. Am friends with a couple. BUT many in the club I genuinely can't stand lol. My club member friends are always telling me to ride with them. Be a hang around. We'll patch you up lol. I respectfully tell them "NO THANK YOU, MY IDEA OF RIDING MY BIKE IS THE FREEDOM TO GO ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, WITH ANYONE I CHOOSE. NO RULES, NO TIME FRAMES, JUST ROLLIN'. No disrespect to any club, do your thing. But all the rules and bylaws are not for me. Never been a follower or felt the need to prove my loyalty. My true friends, family and coworkers KNOW I have their backs. And when I see club members out with their club, I mind my own.

I’m a solo rider and always been since I was a kid. To me riding a motorcycle represents freedom. Even my father labeled me as a lone wolf when I was a kid. Don’t get me wrong, I love people and enjoy talking to people. I just don’t like rules and I don’t like anyone trying to lead me around. They go left, I go right. That has always been my nature. The only rule I do live by is always give a man respect and his dignity. And I want exactly the same in return.

I accidentally became friends with several Hells angels when I was contracted to put a new roof on their clubhouse. I was invited to many parties, and I attended several. 😂 I also ride so it was a very cool experience to just be a civilian that also loves to ride and got to party with some angels. Nicest group of men you’ll ever come across in my opinion they absolutely love to ride and talk about their motorcycles. And I’m sure that most of the organization is like this, but at this particular chapter, they did a lot to help their community and did a lot of charity work. I don’t care what anybody says they are good people.

That has been my experience, as well. I lived in Arizona, on Rt. 66 very near Laughlin for 10 years in the 90's, and our little tourist town was always popular, and always crazy during the Laughlin River Run. Big tippers, easy to please (As a cook, I found that the food didn't have to be fancy, just had to be good, and you have to have a LOT of it!) They helped bus tables, and were ALWAYS respectful and patient with us workers who were trying to deal with unbelievable crowds. The very few instances I saw of bikers getting out of hand were handled very efficiently by their own people, and almost unseen to the public. As a class of people, Bikers were my favorite customers; much nicer than the whiny idiots on the tour busses.

Hi, speaking as an officer in a Club here in the UK I have to say I agree with pretty much everything you've just said, although here in the UK I've never heard of it being an issue to carry your helmet into a Clubhouse. We have helmet storage areas in ours. Some that we go to also do. I guess over your side of the pond though the weather is awesome most of the time so you can leave your lid on the bike. We do that most of the time. The lone wolf thing is maybe more of an issue here. We have different Patch placement here. There is a video on my channel that touches on this. "Why join a Motorcycle club". Over here somebody wearing something like the Lone Wolf crap is blatantly pretending to be something they are not. I had a polite word with a guy earlier this year that had a pretend 3 piece back patch. The Top Rocker said " If I have to explain you won't understand " . I couldn't just leave that so I had to explain to the guy. He removed it. There is a video series on my channel right now where I go to Austria & to my disgust you could buy a 1% Diamond & everything else there. The " pretend Back Patches " were all over the place there. Check it out. It seems things are very different in that part of Europe. Things are very serious here in the UK. Anyway great video LH&R

Can't stress this enough. When you're a guest at a biker party/clubhouse always and i mean ALWAYS assume that any female you may encounter is with someone. Cos they probably are one way or another. The first question you ask - tho politely - is: are you with someone? and then you walk up to that someone and ask - again POLITELY - : look, i know you are with that woman over there. would you mind if i kept her company/entertained her for a while? He will either tell you to not engage. Then DON'T! or he will give you the green light. in that case you might step up and talk to her. but - and that is important - keep it PG-13. No dirty jokes, no touching, no feeling up, etc. treat her as if she was your own mother/grandma. When you leave you want to leave with a good enough impression that you get considered to be invited back in next time, don't you? So, general rule: don't be a fool and keep your hands to yourself.

Though I’ve always found the whole thing cartoonish and ridiculous, from my experience in the community I know that it is nonetheless deadly truthful and serious. Knowing your place and acting with genuine respect for the Patch in whatever form it may appear is key to a good time and a safe ride home. Trying to convince those who have never experienced the “gang” mentality can be an exercise in futility, but regardless of their doubt or disbelief their first encounter with the wrong person or group could be their last. I find that taking away any excuse to be harassed without being a kiss-ass or bitch is the best policy, especially if you find yourself at places that they tend to also frequent.

Couple other things I've learned from diamond club patch holders: Never bring a weapon into the clubhouse EVER. Never lock your bike when you park in their lot because it shows that you don't trust the prospect(s) tasked with guarding the bikes. Never initiate a handshake with a prospect or PH you don't already know well. Don't stare at anyone. And even if you don't drink, always tip the bar. Bring a C-note for the club if you can afford it.

Don’t waste your time. I was raised in a 1% lifestyle. My father was a first generation. He was patch before I was born. You know how it turned out. Our family was destroyed by the club. He died from meth and alcohol Cirrhosis. With his intestines in his ball sack. Living in a run down trailer. He started the chapter in the area he lived. The president during the time he died, was the a probate that my dad brought into the club when I was a kid. The only thing he wanted was to for me to have his bike. So on the day of his patch burning his so called brothers lied and said his bike was in a show and they would get it to me. Never happened. Nothing but lying snitching wastes of life. They are not your brothers they are not your family.

On one occasion, being introduced to a local HA President, I was reprimanded for not executing it properly by my President. Two of us drive Safety/Recovery vehicle for our *Riding Group* (Non MC , or 1%,), but as Support Staff we and others have respect because we earn/gain it by acting properly and respectfully. Love your vids and words, as some do not understand motorcycle etiquette, or are just oblivious to the rules, regs, and culture of the Club or Rider. One Love Brother.! Keep on posting.! My brother belongs to a club and he invited me to a party. I didn’t want to go because I was insecure about my burn scars from the right side of my face all the down to my hip due to a water heater blast. I ended up going and my brother told me the same basics you said. I made a lot of friends that night and I had a lot of fun. I even go fishing with one of his brothers. @Paul Rallys Ghost it was bad. It was due to a gas leak. I was standing 16 feet from it when it went off. It threw me into the woods according to what people seen. It happened so fast, the only thing I remember is nurses in the emergency room scrambling and talking about I.V drips and hearing my brother freaking out. I was burned from scalding hot water and heat. This all happened 17 years ago. I’m doing great now. I just take meds from suffering from brain damage. I do all right. My brother takes good care of me. I’m just a regular private person.

I got out of the sjtuation by excusing myself to introduce myself to the P and thank him for the invite. The SOA, who invited me escorted me in that endeavor and all went well but i was scared shitless for a bit. I in no way wanted that kind of attention. I do alot of charity rides with several different clubs and have never had a problem with anybody. I probably will steer clear of anymore clubhouse invites though.

Thank you. You have good advice for people that want to support MC's. Want to bring up one more: Similar to that "Lone Wolf" patch, are SOA patches, or totally unrelated patches (or Soft Colors, tshirts) that are laid out in a "3 piece" style. Many brothers consider that a mockery of our way of life. We have dedicated ourselves to earning membership, and taking it lightly, or mocking it, is not a good look. Golden Rule: "You get what you give". Show respect to people who have earned that patch. Even the prospects.

Sose I'm watching this video for the second time, I love how you talked about the support the bar but don't end up on life support. To add to your point, anybody reading this, yo Sose isn't kidding, If your a person who struggles with alcohol, and are one of those people who don't know when to stop, or just refuse to stop, your better off not even drinking, if it's gonna get you in trouble and your at an Outlaw Biker Club party, then you probably might want to think twice. I usually have a beer or two, play a game of pool or card game and before I play I ask first to join next. If Club members are walking towards my path/ direction, I always move out of their way out of respect. One thing Sose didn't mention, sorry Sose, but it's the rule of toe steppin. If your ever invited to a Club party, regardless if it's a Military vet club, Outlaw club, Christian club, etc.... Never step on any Club members toes, especially if it's your first time. They will confront you, so don't step on any toes. But in general have fun, don't ask stupid questions, don't ask about business, dont mess with Club members Ol' Ladies, dont make a mess and refuse to clean it and above all else don't fall asleep. Happy Thursday Sose! Love your vids

Being in an MC reminds me of my time at Cambridge - there are rules when you visit another college for a party: - don't walk on the grass - don't touch anyone else's gown - don't pass the sherry the wrong way along the table - if the penny lands in your drink, you must drink - never wear any clothing with your college name on it - it's a huge faux pas and just for tourists.

I see so many people that really aren’t any different than me, dressing up in Harley this and that to ride to a bar. It’s so bad in my area, I refuse to wear ANY Harley clothes when I’m riding. I don’t wanna be a catalogue rider and I don’t wanna play pretend. I’m usually in jeans and a Snap On or Mac tee shirt. When I’m not riding, I wear Harley shirts. I guess my point is, the real bikers that live the life take it very seriously. You don’t have to understand it to not piss on it. Be respectful. I think playing dress up in order to ride your bike is disrespectful to the people that actually live the life.🤷

Couldn’t agree with you more. I ride a Harley (have other brands too). Because I like the sound, the comfort and look of the bike. Guys on brand new cvo’s look down their noses at my 10 year old road king. I watch them duck walk the 30k bikes halfway around the parking lot. They’re the ones that play the bad boy role and get their asses handed to them.

It seems like most of these parties and gatherings are nothing but junior highschool treehouse clubs with nothing but rules made up by bully leaders.

I'm the same way, my gf bought me a long sleeve button up harley shirt (it's actually surprising low key, it just has a small Harley Davidson right above the front left pocket) while I love it because she got it for me, I told her nah don't waste you're money on these over priced shirts lol I don't wanna be that guy that walks around with harley gear head to toe

I like wearing Harley gear. I think you measure a guy by how many miles he puts on his bike..... Everyone judging. Thats why I got out and I am happy as hell.

My father was is in one of the big MC in the the late 60s - 90s. and from the time you are old enough to talk you start leaning the do’s & don’ts when you are in the presence of an MC member or members. I never felt scared or threatened growing up are the MC. Actually the opposite. I would be running around with the other kids and we all felt safe. What it boils down to is exactly what you said. SHOW RESPECT , give respect. I get respect just because of who my father was. But you can bet I still show respect to the MC 100%

Just recently discovered your channel. One question I have always thought about. What would be the respectful way to pass a group of 1%era on the highway when you are in a car?
