Going to a traditional Ruracio was a very cool experience! It was beautiful seeing families come together in love and respect.

In Kenya if you go to a wedding or any functions and arrive on time, unfortunately you’ll be there alone. Make sure if the event is scheduled at 10am, the best time to arrive is 12pm

Ruracio is like a dowry payment ceremony. And each tribe here in Kenya has their own way of celebrating it. But I can see the Ameru’s ruracio is the same as ours Kikuyu’s. And I just love the part where the grooms group get ‘fined’ especially when the groom chooses the wrong wife! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for taking us to isiolo, I promise to visit two new places every time I am in Kenya. I am sure I am not the only one here who have been to very few places in Kenya- •Olkalou, nyahururu, Nyeri, Naivasha, eldoret, kitale, Nanyuki l, Nakuru, Mombasa, kitengela, kajiado•~ some of this places I have just passed by, but since covid I have come to appreciate my *kontri*.

This looked like a "ngurario" I.e. kikuyu traditional wedding rather than "ruracio" I.e. taking dowry Though people confuse the two names. They call all of them ruracio...
