About Tony Hawk's Proving Ground:
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a video game developed by Neversoft for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Vicarious Visions for the Nintendo DS, and by Page 44 Studios for the PlayStation 2 and Wii. Proving Ground is the ninth installment in the Tony Hawk's series, and the last to be developed by Neversoft as the franchise was then transferred to Robomodo.
The Xbox 360 version came with a demo of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, which was released on October 28, 2007, and was also developed by Neversoft.
It features gameplay that is more reminiscent of earlier Tony Hawk games, whilst including new features such as Nail the Manual and Nail the Grab. These are similar to the Nail the Trick mode from the previous Tony Hawk game - Project 8.
There are 9 levels in the video game. They are in 3 East Coast cities, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.. The levels differ between the different console versions. In the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, there is one open world. In the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions, levels have to be selected by pausing the game. Three different types of goals in Story Mode are available; Rigger, Career, and Hardcore. In each level, there are two arcade machines, one for high scores and the other to play classic mode. This game has three Nail the Trick modes (Nail the Trick, Nail the Grab, and Nail the Manual). The PlayStation 2 and Wii versions do not include the Nail the Manual feature. The Classic Mode feature allows the player to play each city section in the style of early Pro Skater games. There is a Free Skate mode on the PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Wii versions.

I remember playing the demo of proving grounds on ps3, listening to kanye graduation on loop back in 2007, skating as realistic as i could just waiting for the skate 1 demo to come out lol

Such a fun game loved it growing up and the fact they had these 3 maps was great because I lived in Baltimore so it was pretty cool

I remember having PS3 and wanting to play Skate 3 but in my town there were no copies. And one guy said to try this game. I fell in love with the gritty atmosphere and still hold this game close to my heart

Hey Nightspeeds! I downloaded the reTHAWed mod for Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and I noticed that it included a sim mode. It might be fun to realistically skate some of those classic Tony Hawk maps for a video.

my childhood is based on tony hawk underground ps2, i was in love with the intro of the game (you can see it on youtube) doing flips and manual on house and car was so fun and backflip💥

still one of my favorite games ever. wish it was more accessible to play these days by the way i think there is a form of session markers in some tony hawk games, i cant remember if this one has it, but it's so buried in the menus you might as well just ride back to the spot lol

Believe or not, I’d been playing realistic since thps1. Once I discovered you could turn off auto push, it was a game changer. In 2 you could lower your stats to zero on everything creating a more realistic feel. I actually miss balancing grinds.

I remember I sell skate 1 cause was too hard and bought proving ground, but it was exceptionally realistic compared to the previous ones! it fas fun but I trade back skate 1 for Tony hawk because flick it system was so sick and I had to learn!
