I noticed in my early twenties that In order for someone to feel comfortable approaching me, I have to be alone. It makes it easier than when you’re with your friends because they don’t have to go past them to get to you. When I made that realization- my life changed. I started going everywhere alone, including restaurants. While some people looked at me as if I was a “loner” they had no idea why I was doing it. It works like a charm - people would always ask me why I was alone and it would become the ice breaker of every conversation. It’s hard at first, but then you get used to it. Try it out ladies! You won’t regret it.

When I had my boyfriend stay the night the first time, I made sure to buy green tea to make for him in the morning because I knew he liked tea more than coffee. He loved it and always said he appreciated that I did that for him. I now always have it ready in a to go cup as soon as he’s out of the shower so it’s steeped long enough and cooled down by the time he leaves for work. His smile just lights up his face whenever he says it on the table.

We have two sons...Good decent young men that are productive in society;working and studying in college. I'm good...But I got to tell you if I had your advice when I was younger it would have been easier road to get here where I am today. I'm reminded of myself when I speak into my sons about the street,and what's out there in the playing field waiting for them,and what they're worth. Keep doing what you're doing.
