Minor correction. I'm sure the two 36v batteries that you say are connected in SERIES (which would make 72 volts) are actually connected in PARALLEL.(twice the amp-hrs. at 36 volts). Same thing but 12volt batteries on the other side.

Nice rig IKE. Thanks for sharing. If you ever decide to load all of your tackle in the shop into a boat you will have to change from Bass Cat to the USN. 😁

I turned my rod lockers and tackle storage compartments into battery storage compartments because if something bad ever happened and I switched to my reserve battery and then something else happends I have a reserve reserve battery . I honestly don’t even care about going out and fishing and enjoying a nice quiet day in the water . All I care about is having tons of batteries and lots of screens on my boat so that I look like a total tech nerd on the water . Plus I want everyone to know I’m serious ! I need 15” screens and a lot of them so I can see the bottom when I’m throwing my senko in 4’ of water . I need all this stuff because I want to maximize my fishing !

Awesome setup ! You mentioned that your 2 36v batteries and your 2 12v batteries are wired in series, if so than you 36 put out 72v and the 2 12v put out 24v. I guess you meant parallel, voltage stays the same but act as a bigger battery.

You're right. He probably meant parallel. Batteries in parallel maintain same voltage, but the current gets added for longer running time.

If you're using 36v batteries, you have them wired in parallel to increase amps. Series increases volts so that would mean you are pushing 72 volts. Your starting and house battery is a 12v system and it is also ran in parallel for the same reason. I just wanted to clear that up for the people.

Mike, you misspoke. You have your batteries rigged parallel not series. If you ran your trolling 36V motor batteries in series you would be sending 72 volts to the motor burning it instantly. With your 12V cranking batteries, if they were in series you would be sending 24 volts to your engine and electronics frying them instantly.

I think he meant wired parallel so it would be 36 volt, same with his starting battery

They already have tournaments like that. Jon boats, tiny boats, electric motors only, 3 fish limits, look some of em up. Might be worth getting in one.
