I painted Gojira artists in my highschool art class, taught my teacher of them. He was Vietnam vet, and cancer survivor. Unfortunately got cancer again and died 10 years after my class. He gave me an A on my crappy drawing of Gojira though even though I'm absolutely terrible at art. I miss the guy and I miss those days.

i can sort of explain it because i feel like i understand it in my own way. when im full with emotion and grab my guitar to write, there is a cry inside my mind that needs to be heard. can be as simple as that riff in the verses but yet its so beautiful and emotional. And the rest? Just break that low string my guy. Let it rip. Let it flow. Gojira guitar riffs are rather simple for this reason, because it works this way. This is my take on it

I saw Gojira live for the first time in 2001 in Lyon, France. They were opening for Machine Head. That day I told my friends : "The opening band was even more brutal than MH!". That's how I started my journey in Gojira's music.

Greg Gotti Metal is like any other genre of music. Some of it is easy to play, and some of it is technically terrifying. Pigeon holing is shitty for sure, but people who think that the metal community is devoid of easy to replicate music than they're just as silly. :) Either way, to me the technicality of music is irrelevant. It either resonates or it doesn't, and I think that that, more than how hardcore the tab is, is the true testament of how good a song is. Personal preference and all I guess.

An absolute pure, raw, unreal, incredible and mind blowing experience. Amazing talent and tremendous emotion. You feel this song in your core. It gives off this feeling of overwhelming power, that is hard to truly describe. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs ever.

I'm glad I've been able the experience these guy's art. When I first listened to them I almost couldn't because it comes on soooo strong. Too heavy for many. But after listening for awhile you realize there's melody, and madness.

Just saw these guys for the first time (never listened to them before either) at Chicago Open Air and I was instantly head banging. These guys are SICK. So sick, I bought a Gojira shirt for my trip to Paris with my wife this summer so I can represent! P.S. the drummer is out of this world, especially live. Great band

Cette chanson est tellement incroyable. J'en pleure toujours en l'écoutant, ça peut paraître complètement stupide, mais vraiment. J'en pleure de joie et de rage en même temps, j'en pleure parce que je ne comprends pas pourquoi je pleure. Je l'écoute quand je pleure parce que je souffre pour rien, que je m'en veux, que j'ai envie de plus rien. C'est une vraie libération, un vrai remède. Autant pour la chanson en elle-même qui est tellement intense et sublime, que pour le texte plein de sens. Et là, en l'écoutant une énième fois, aujourd'hui quand j'en avais le plus besoin, j'ai vraiment ressenti ce que représentait cette phrase pour moi : "There is light in this world I fight for". Que je ne dois pas abandonner. Que tout est possible. Que ça va bien se passer, et qu''il faut persévérer. Et je pense que cela peut s'appliquer à beaucoup de monde également. Je suis désolée pour ce texte et je me rends compte que c'est long, je n'ai pas pour habitude de déballer ma vie et mes sentiments sur internet, mais je suis désolée, j'avais besoin de poser ça là. Pas pour attirer l'attention, loin de là, mais simplement parce que ça me fait du bien. Ca me libère, me vide et me comble à la fois. Encore désolée pour ce long texte.
