If you claim to love metal, and don't like Gojira, I can't help but question your music taste. That can't be said for many bands anymore, but Gojira are in a league of their own. No stupid gimmicks, no excessive antics. They don't need anything special to get people to listen. It's just guys that know how to fucking play and they delivery every goddamn time.

I'm 44 and metallica were gods to me as a teen. Gojira is my new favorite band. they remind me today of what metallica was doing back in the 80's. there is just no other band doing what these guys are doing to the level they are doing it right now. I can't get enough of them. on another note, this crowd is total shit!

Yeah, it's not just the complexity of his drum parts, which are so freaking tasteful and interesting, it's not just the precision of his hits, which is astounding, it's the way Mario has found to make these heavy beats sound so unique and instantly recognizable. Truly we are seeing a master in his prime. He's found a way to stand out in an overly saturated crowd of modern metal drummers.

That extended into to Oroborus at 43:30 is simply amazing. Gojira tends to do this at live shows. They embellish studio versions and make them so much more than the sum of their parts - the mark of a truely brilliant band. I cannot speak highly enough of Gojira. \m/

KZfaq suggested this video. All i can say as a old metal head Gojira kick ass. over the years i have tried to listen to lots of new metal, but most of it sucks. This band is fresh and talented. I love the way they mix genres of metal. i hear death , speed, grindcore and a little punk. Got to check this band out live next time they come to Cali.

I saw them on tour with alter bridge in Manchester last year. They only played about 4-5 songs but I could hardly hear out of one ear after their set was done, was fucking awesome! Have a great time guys!

Believe it or not, Gojira are *this good* at every. fucking. show. Saw them live at least 7 times, in venues small or big, and they're absurdly consistent and always fucking deliver. (I saw them for the first time in early 2009 for "The Way of All Flesh")

I would argue that L’enfant Sauvage is one of the best orchestrated metal songs of all time. Raw emotion in the vocals, simple guitar parts but incredibly heavy, drums that feel impossible to play yet add an unnatural amount of heavy to the song.. then that last riff with the straight double bass is just pure perfection. Gojira for life.
