Gege did the same thing for Nobara. when todo came with that guy in the subway after Nobara got face slapped my Mahito, he said the her chances of survival are not 0% and then Gege forgot about that and a dozen of chapters later, her death was confirmed by a flashback that Itadori had about her and Nanami while fighting I don't remember who. This is just another attempt from Gege to give us false hope only to stop on it and make us feel even more miserable later. I wouldn't be surprised if Sukuna actually kills everyone and finishes the merger.

Her death was never confirmed, I’m not denying or supporting it I’m just saying there’s nothing concrete. Yuji reminiscing and Megumi going silent when she’s mentioned isn’t concrete. AND AGAIN TO AVOID AN ARGUMENT. IM NOT SAYING SHE ISNT DEAD. Just that the author is doing a poor job of conveying the what the characters reactions are supposed to mean so it’s a little ambiguous and that might be intentional. I don’t think she’s coming back either but that’s more from the perspective of a person understanding writers aren’t perfect or might want to keep her death ambiguous in case he wants her to return, not because the things stated are clear proof.

@@BeAsTMoDE528 I agree that her death is not officially confirmed, however, from what I see in JJK, even though the character development is extremely good, at the same time the way characters are send of is all over the place. First we have the " back story " before each death ( at least for the main characters ) which is kind of generic for how unhinged JJK is, secondly there is this inconsistency or rather lack of certainty when it comes to characters location/status. The death of the old guy with the frame rate technique that got killed by Jogo was never brought up. No one talked about him. Mei Mei that suddenly appeared in a hotel room after Shibuya incident ended was so random in manga especially, and out of nowhere. I was so confused when I read those panels. It looks like Gege is mostly focused on the action and the story, so if a weak/insignificant character dies/is MIA, the death will just be brushed off and not mentioned again or they'll just appear out of nowhere. And since Nobara has no business fighting with Sukuna, I am confident that Gege will not bring her back.
