It kinda feels like that guy is using her? Date a twenty year old who after six months is being a step mother to your kids? To the point where she feels like she lost herself. Sure she should support the guy and be involved with the kids but to have so much responsibility so soon sounds like it’s been a lot for this girl. I really wish her the best, she’s obviously so loving but it feels like there are some red flags here

I've been around on this earth way too long to tell you that she's the kids babysitter. I married my husband after a year but neither of us had children at that time. Why take up a grown man with 3 kids at 20??? Where is her dad?

I was looking for a comment that addressed this. And considering she is only 20 now, how old was she when she first began dating this guy? A 30+ year old man going after someone under 20 is a bit of a red flag. I feel sad that the stress of suddenly becoming a step-mum to 3 young kids is taking such a toll on her. She is so young and should be enjoying her life.

I met my husband at 20 and got married a year later. He's 12 years older than me and a father of 2. We've been married for 16 years now. I know it can raise red flags for the family, but they seem to know and support her in this, so it's maybe not a bad situation.

I know someone who found herself in this situation. Guy in his 30s looking for some young thing to raise his 3 kids. After they were married she got pregnant and he was not happy at all. She was meant to be his pretty, young wife and raise the 3 kids he already had. She was devastated. Not surprisingly the relationship went down in flames. He ended up marrying yet another young thing who obediently didn't get any children of her own and they stayed together...so far.

I love Gok. He knows how to meet his brides’ emotional needs throughout the entire appointment, even if those needs aren’t directly related to “the final dress.” That he found the perfect dress for this bride to play dress up in was such a sweet gesture.

I enjoyed all of the dress's. 20 years old step mom to 3 thats extreme. Can't help but feel a bit icky about it. He's 33, 3 kids and she's 20... If she's happy I'm happy for her. That is just a lot all at once and soooo young.

No doubt she was happy when purchasing the dress - chances of the happiness lasting however are negligible - she's had no opportunity to develop and grow / to spread her wings / to explore the world / to enjoy the true freedom that comes with adulthood BEFORE undertaking the responsibilities of marriage let alone motherhood. Personally I wonder just what kind of an individual the groom is who felt it appropriate to get himself involved with a much younger woman (both chronologically and psychologically) and then trap her into marriage and motherhood ?

@@anaderol5408 I got married at 20. It will be 30 years next week. It was the best decision of my life. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I wasn't an immediate mom to 3 though. That's rough. And my husband is only 4 years older than I am.

It's really sad isn't it, I'm turning 37 in few days, my guy friend is turning 50 in few days too, who has 2 kids, and I'm absolutely refusing to deal with him, it's hard to be a mum, I couldn't fathom a 20yr old having to do this. She seems to feel her illness won't bring her the right guy, but I find this sad, she's absolutely beautiful with a sweet and caring personality. She shouldn't feel that she lost herself at this age 😢, this selfish guy needs to find a single mum who would share mutual interest in taking care of their kids

I am sad that this lovely young woman is throwing her life away to be a drudge for someone else's children. Basically that's it for her. Nanny and housemaid to a built-in family. I'm sure she's a great stepmother but with her Lupus the whole shebang is going to be very stressful.

I feel so sad with her saying she feels like she's lost herself. I know that illness can definitely do that to you, but I almost feel like she meant it more about going from 20 to being in a relationship with 3 children and a future husband. I wish her the best, she seems like such a sweet person. Her family is amazing too.

I can't help but wonder what kind of selfish 33-year-old would want to rope a 20-year-old girl (i.e. just out of her teen years) into being a mother to 3 children that aren't hers. The fact that she said she felt like she got lost in the role makes sense. She is too young to take on so much responsibility and she knows it subconsciously. I feel like she will regret marrying this man someday. Women beware: If you are going to be with a man who has children, make sure that he really wants to be with you and isn't just looking for a mother for his kids.

Im usually the one who thinks "dont get married too early! No rush.", But well, you dont choose when you find the love of you life. You can choose to get married or not, but I'd say with her illness, she prob has gone through a lot and is perhaps more mature than her friends. I met my love when I was just 18, he 19, we could have married at twenty-something and it would have lasted - we've been together for 15 years now.

i got married at 18. my mom was 16. it depends on maturity. my husband has actually been the one that helped me find myself so it also depends on the man and your support team.

Being a step mum is very difficult. They have a mum and it’s a fine line to walk. I did it at 40 and it was hard. Can’t imagine doing it at 20. This poor wee thing has no idea what she’s getting into.

I feel like he knew this girl shouldn't be getting married in this situation at her age-- he even asked point blank "Do you feel like you're too young to get married?" at the very beginning.. This poor girl is taking on so much at such a young age, she's even admitted she's already lost herself.

She’s 20 and everyone is harping on her becoming a stepmom… that doesn’t negate the fact that she is ONLY 20 years old. Glitter and sparkle doesn’t have to be toned down. She’s college-aged! And her family saying it’s her childhood dream dress to the second one…. Yeah she was a child less than 5 years ago. So ridiculous that they tore apart the glittery glitzy dress. I’m 30 unmarried and have no stepchildren, if I was to get married in a feathered glitter ball according to their logic, I’d be “more suited” to that dress because I’m not adopting children into my life despite my “old age”. The whole thing is just silly… she looked great in everything and it was all appropriate to her body and age.

I think the second dress was pretty on her, but I believe being nervous and anxious (as most brides are on their wedding day) exacerbates the possibility of a splotchy skin flare up that she did not want to show on her wedding day. I agree that it is age appropriate for her. If it were me, and I was worried about skin splotches, I would have chosen the first dress. It fit her beautifully and was very unusual. Not the same old strapless style seen so often.

Same, my two grandpas and one grandma passed away long ago, before I got engaged, and my last grandma died a month ago. She won't see me as a bride and it hurts. Hope you are doing well

I’m not a huge believer or anything, by grandma was though and that keeps me “sane” in a way. I hope that she’s there and watching. I’m sending you a hug ♥️

I think getting married is a mistake, she’s only 20 years old and within 6 months has become a stepmother for 3 children, she probably isn’t even old enough to be their mother. She’s going to regret this.

I think Gok's dressing room is more intimate with the warm yellow lights so that the dress reveals for the bride seem more special for too than the flourescent lighting of other syttd shops
