Goku not raising gohan (and I guess goten) isn’t as bad as people say for a few reasons 1. He’s a sayian so comparing his parenting to human parenting isn’t all that fair. Vegeta is the prince so it’s believable that he has that he has to continue the blood line in his mind. 2. I doubt goku even knows how to parent. He didn’t even know what marriage was. 3. Like said in the song if he wasn’t training everyone would be dead. That doesn’t sound that bad because you know... dragon balls, but if goku gets beat then it’s likely everyone else will including piccolo therefor disabling the dragon balls(pre cell) or dende(post cell). The namekians don’t have a real reason to bring them back, and it would take way to long.

I never stopped loving the character of Goku. I think it is just a lot of undeserved criticism from people who just recently got into the franchise just a few years ago and come from animes like death note and expect every anime to at least have the same tone not really understanding the essence of the characters and the nostalgia around them. there are some gokutards out there but there are also the vegetatards that will always whine until vegeta gets a major win solo, which was never the soul of the series to begin with, Goku doesn't win solo almost any time he requires his friends and others to team up like with cell, buu, beerus,jiren etc. but Vegetatards just want him to get the win over goku and they are honestly ruining it for me. In my opinion the Moro arc was a Z level arc and it deserves to be analyzed better.

Yes... Vegeta did give him the his energy, but goku was still getting messed up by Jiren, so Vegeta give his energy was more of emotional moment than anything. And Jiren beating up Goku was what got him in Ultra Instinct, so Vegeta giving his energy wouldn’t have mattered for rest of the fight.
