Also, one thing to add: Xenoverse 2 is almost a decade old yet still receiving more DLCs. The Xenoverse stare would definitely leave an impact considering how many people are still likely to encounter the cover art of a still-supported game.

What fucks me up is that literal space tyrants like Vegeta and Frieza get redemption arcs but Gokus own older brother who really just wanted to be a badass saiyan warrior is utterly disposed of and forgotten.

it's better this way, too many people have been revived in the show. if they did something like "fatheful brothers" in bt2 where raditz loses his memories and in the end he sacrifices himself to kill nappa and vegeta, i would surely want him back in the cast.

I honestly find it fascinating how official material that isn't made directly by Toriyama leans much more into the terrifying badass side of Goku, whee you worry instead of punching you, he'll make a hole in your chest. It's stuff like that makes me really enjoy DB promo stuff, like the Xenoverse 2 art.

The thing with this meme is you wouldn't expect Goku to get serious so quickly. Because every opponent he fights he tries to fight them calmly or fights them for fun except for few exceptions like King Piccolo. Even when his universe is on the line Goku is sure to take his time with the fight before getting really serious. And we are literally seeing variations of these with Gohan, Trunks and other Dbz characters.
