THIS WAS AMAZING OH MY GOD The animation, the music, AND THAT FINAL CLASH OH MY GOOOOOD The way they made the conclusion is actually amazing, they didnt keep on using the "limitless" argument anymore and actually broke it down to stats, Goku was finally justified snd this fight was actually way closer than I thought! I cant believe they even made it too family friendly too! I bet it was to try avoiding toxicity 😅, it does fit their personality though, hah! The best part about this is that I was worrying to see someone die, but thank goodness they had superman reviving goku as an aftermath, no one really died here, just like rick not fully dying to the doctor, 2 fights in a row being the same thing lol) Honestly they had me for a moment too..I was like no way, goku is actually gonna pull it off?! They had me believing it a moment, I was also worrying for supes tho, so that ending was the best way they couldve ever made it man! Yes goku sadly loses this but look at all that respect, death isnt even a consequence to him either superman is bringing him back, and thats the best part about thisss, on a few side notes though, it felt weird seeing super sayian immediately going to SSB lol, and this is now my 2nd favourite of this season And yet again, to make you feel better still, Superman definitley needed to get powered by the sun to take down MUI, otherwise I think Goku would have got it, if you see superman fans saying this was extremely one sided, then ignore them, yeah no they're definitley fanboying, superman DEFINITLEY needed the sun to win, it was a bit close, hell, I didn't even KNOW they were tied on speed, those stats are very close! This episode was more of a celebration of both characters, and even though Goku disappointingly lost once again, they still respected each other in the end.

Im more of a dc fan but im not the bias type and eventhough my boy Superman won they both are the champs at the end of the day. Goku is a very dope character and as a person who never gotten that deep into dragonball i can see and appreciate that. Hopefully some day they will do a Death Battle for Goku where he has a good challenge but come out on top because he deserves it.

Look up the storyline Infinite Frontiers. All past versions of Superman, Pre-Crisis, Post, Rebirth, New 52, are all now combined and are officially canon. Death Battle didn't need to combine them. DC already did it for them.

in response to supes holding back at the start. Thats his normal mode. He is always always holding back. As he said he lives in a world of cardboard where he knows how easily he could break what he cares for. Could essily tear a door off by mistake or crack and break the ground, crush a freinds hand when shaking it and so on if he is not always aware of and holding his strength back. Its one of the core things about the char.

if you want to look at in another interesting way...they did wipe out the universe. something canonically superman could and probably has survived, (they do say he can't be wiped from existence), while goku technically needs a universe to live... that ending makes it look like Supes is waiting on his buddy to wake up after sparring...

A third Goku vs Superman really needed to happen, considering that Death Battle nowadays contract people to make GOD TIER animations and choreographies and GOD TIER music based on the two characters who are fighting. It it didn't dissapoint. something I liked about the sneak peek is that it was going to be a friendly fight at their fullest and it's pretty much the way Goku enjoys a fight. Fun Fact: It might be non-canon nowadays, but in Dragon Ball Online lore, Goku and Vegeta had a final fight at their fullest far from earth and no one knew about em ever again. Ending his life in a fight using everything he got it's something... very Goku if you ask me.

This is without a doubt my favorite episode to date. I had a similar reaction for those few seconds we see goku after the final clash I thought he won until they reveal the halo. The respect they had for each other at the end of the fight was in character for both 💯! Going in I was rooting goku and betting Superman. Huge respect for death battle for updating the best mu of all time! I'd bet money on the fact that someone is gonna ask if these new Dragon Ball scans change the outcome of Thor vs Vegeta I'm gonna go ahead and say no they don't. Keep in mind the numbers they used for Thor weren't at his best they only talked about the Nine Realms but a Marvel Universe is way bigger than that with numerous Dimensions, Realms and every Afterlife from every Religion. Thor's numbers would still be way way higher especially considering that the God Blast can kill freaking Galactus who can destroy the Infinite Marvel Multiverse even when not at full power or the fact that he's fought Surtur who can burn down the World Tree which roots spread throughout the Infinite Multiverse. Even when using Heroes/Xeno Vegeta besides that power or strength wasn't the only thing that mattered Thor has plenty of ways to wrap their fight up besides those two plus even if CC Vegeta's Numbers did match or surpass Thor's base that's just his base currently he's the All-Father which vastly blows anything in any Dragon Ball media out of the water.
