I have enjoyed coming along with you as you have been scratching out a living there in th outback. Your practically, " A Natural," at narrating th content of your filming efforts. I've listened to a lot of other folks as they detected, and they seem to think that cursing,makes a better video. Thank you, for governing your language on your videos. I'm a Brthr in CHRIST, cursing isn't necessary, in order to communicate. Cheers mate. Keep up th good work.

Thanks, the lightning and thunder out there can be really spectacular at times and often without any rain at all. Dry strikes can also sometimes be hazardous causing bush fires.

hi steve have watched a number of your gold videos and enjoyed all of them hopefully ill get back to WA to do a bit of the same .i didnt realise you were a kiwi until i saw your video on 1080 my cobber a possum hunter in the late 70ts saw the total destruction of a kiwi colony near kahurangi light house by one of the first 1080 drops in that area . he told me they were so vocal it was hard to sleep at night but within three days he never heard another peep . so much for 1080 protecting our wild life
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Hi Williaim, yeah that 1080 has really done a lot of damage in NZ. We've seen some awful sights over the years and unfortunately it dosen't look like ending any time soon either. They're using more every year and Kiwi are disappearing at an alarming rate. That story you said about the possum hunter sounds like many others we've heard across the country and it's so tragic. The departments just don't seem to care and of course they never go into the bush so they don't even now whats happening out there.

@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah I agree it would make a great series, if only a tv station was interested. I believe there is still some good gold in NZ but as far as I'm aware the country is mostly tied up with either private land or DOC administered land and their regulations make it extremely difficult or too costly.

Wow Steve loved this clip almost as much as your Roaring Dvds. Please keep whacking your clips on or better still come home and make some hunting clips and put them on the tube. I’ve always thought about gold hunting but from what you saying it’s a real mans game long brakes between finds, mind the heat might be good for your aches & pains . Better than the cold bush ..."..haha. Thank you very
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, yeah its exciting when you're finding gold but can also test your patience at times when finding nothing and the heat can get really hard to handle at times also. But somehow the adventure of it still keeps me coming back for more.

You're a damned legend!!!!! I've subbed cause you're that damned legend. You are unbelievable, going out west all by yourself and doing the deed, coming home with the pay dirt. By the way, which way did you go from Hervey Bay? Up north and around or south? Also, your wild-life shots are awesome. You're the first prospector I've seen that promotes so much wild-life. That's brilliant. Looking forward to your next offerings from the wild west. Cheers on a great vid :)
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words, I tend to do most of my major excursions solo and while it does add an extra degree of risk it all adds to the experience. I traveled over via the southern route, so past Broken Hill and out across the Nullabor then up to Kalgoorlie and beyond. Next trip I'll probably go via the northern route. I have another gold video I've just finished editing which will be on utube soon, with some bigger gold and larger wildlife also.
@kennethbothen5 жыл бұрын
Great film Steve! Happy to see you finally got some good gold! Remember when I met you in Leonora caravan park? You had a few tuff weeks without any gold. How long were you out in the Bush? I won't forget your stories from hitchhiking in Alaska! 👍
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry about the late reply, I only just recently checked the comments. I had someone else load the clip onto utube so I don't get the notifications when a comment comes in. Yeah it was a bit rough to start with but I met a guy from Tasmania who gave me a few tips on tuning etc and that was a great help. I ended up staying out there for a few months, covering a few different areas.
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
@@TimBrownSenorCafe I was able to ration my food and water so that I only had to go to a nearest town once every three weeks or so to stock up. I tend to eat and drink only the minimum when I do my excursions, and then I make up for it when I get back to civilization, Lol.

Sir this is a tremendous production. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this. Really good that you respect nature and the environment. Loved the melting and weigh in at the end. Well deserved gold and excellent filming. I would dearly love to get some time of work and go dry panning and dry blowing out there as I don't own a detector. Torn between WA outback and NZ. Thanks so much for sharing. Just awesome 👍
@stevegraf92764 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, glad you enjoyed. My latest video is (my biggest and best gold) which was my most successful trip yet. In terms of prospecting between Australia and NZ, in my view Aussie is way better. Don't get wrong NZ still has good gold but nothing like the scale of Australia, and most of it is on private land or conservation land administered by DOC. Which means it can be expensive, difficult or impossible to get access on for prospecting. Australia being so massive still has a lot of crown land available for prospecting, with the appropriate miners right or permit of course. And so many different minerals, its amazing. I've personally found sapphires, zircons, opals and of course gold. Cheers.
@neilstleon62514 жыл бұрын
@@stevegraf9276 That's wonderful Steve and I also watched and really enjoyed your latest movie. I am actually Australian but travelled to NZ many times and would love to live there and that is why I mentioned being torn between NZ & outback Oz. Great that you have found gems. I'm also a gemologist and have fossicked the New England over the years and had some success. Thanks so much for your reply and I look forward to more of your productions. Cheers
