West Virginiaaaaaaa MOUNTAIN MAMA!!

I live in WV and thought about going out and playing around with a pan, but all the research I went over said, “just don’t waste the time”. Lol

I love the “lets take a look at it in the pan” throws the bag in the pan 😂

I live near Charleston WV I was out with my pan a minute ago looking. No one's looked for gold in so long who knows whats under are feet. There's quartz everywhere so who knows.

Really cool video. I grew up in WV and never knew there was gold in them there hills. As kids we made pocket money hunting for Ginseng and selling tanned pelts. I've really gotten into treasure hunting since moving to the NC coast. Used to do alot of beach metal detecting until my minelab finally succumbed to the salt spray. Now I head out to western NC and try and do some prospecting out that way. Anyway great video and I am going to go check out James' channel.

But but we don't have gold in west virginia they say lol

West Virginia definitely has a good amount of gold and probably in the biggest part of the state also and from what I've been told, it is considered to be sold on the 24 karat scale and is considered to be one of the higher, to highest percentages of good quality gold from anywhere in the lower 48 States including Alaska

I'm from WV but unfortunately I live smack dab in the middle of clay country. I'd have to travel across the state to find anything of valuable. I'd be better off making a trip to Ohio and hunt for some glacier gold.

Great video as always, a note about these blue pans, i bought a few and there too shiny and slippery, i had to lightly sandblast them to make them work.

Hey Shane, been meaning to ask you something as you do a lot of your pan work outside in the cold weather. Would there be any noticeable difference in panning with cold, warm or even hot water? It might be an interesting experiment, just wondering. Keep the videos, we all enjoy.
