Yes it was. The low-key story of that and this game was Angel Di Maria too. His screamer vs France in 2018 to wake Argentina up and now his goal today and another brilliant performance. I have always loved Di Maria's effort for his country he plays well in the WC.

They win by penalties, are you really saying they were the better team? A win may be a win but to say it was a dominant win, a deserving win? The truth is it is a LUCKY win. If you have to win by penalties, are they really the better team? Are you discrediting everything Mbappe scoring 3 goals?

It was a hell of a game. Di Maria and the whole argentinian team were unbelievable for 70 minutes, and France in contrast were so horrific. Then this stupid mistake by Otamendi that brought France back and from there it was just complete chaos with both sides playing league 2 level at the back. Even though France lost I just want to shoutout how amazing Upamecano and Kolo Muani were. Mbappe's probably gonna get a lot of praise, but the assist for the 2-2 by Thuram was class as well. Also all of Deschamps' subs were perfect, so probs to him as well. All in all Argentina were the better side over 120 minutes + pens and Emi Martinez is just better than Lloris, so deserved win for Messi and the boys. Real happy for Aguero as well

its my 12th WC Final, and apart from the first 25 mins of the 2nd half, it was fabulous. It reminded me of WCs in the 80s when it was 4 v 4 every other minute, socks around the ankles, and game plans out the window.

If your a Argentina fan, you have to appreciate Emi Martinez. He was amazing the entire tournament and as a Ronaldo fan. Messi deserves a World Cup. And don’t go into the comment saying “Pristiano” “Pignaldo” “Ronaldo is bad” “Benchnaldo”. Appreciate both Ronaldo and Messi, they are the greatest of all time!
