You can screen but not start the screen from an offside position. He had a bearing on that play so was deemed to be interfering. The goal was ruled out for offside. Pretty straightforward that 1 for me

@@chiefbaalbecby the letter of the law you are only offside once you interfere with play. I think you can argue either way as to whether he interfered with play. However, his offside location had no effect on his ability to screen. So isn't really in the spirit of why offside exists - to stop attacking players gaining an unfair advantage.

it’s not just brave from klopp it was also smart, sometimes energy is more important than ability and in extra time chelsea’s midfield just looked knackered whereas ours were all fresh so whilst our midfielders didn’t do as much with it when they had it, when they lost it they didn’t leave a cap behind them for chelsea to exploit and they pressed like hell to get it back

As a Liverpool fan I loved the mentality of the team . Not much experience and skill on the field but it’s just mentality and never give up attitude klopp instilled not just in first team but also through out the academy. Will miss him for sure. As to Chelsea, I think first to get kicked out should be todd boehly. Second pochettino. He might be a good manager but cannot fathom how he can complain about referee for favoring Liverpool. This is reason enough to sack him. I wish Chelsea stay mid table for near future as they are the reason for the transfer circus last summer which might have left klopp frustrated and leave Liverpool

Yes Endo was offside and yes he did impede Colwill but Colwill wasn’t getting near Virgil. They appear to sometimes look for anything to chalk off a goal. Let’s see if they start to give penalties for every block or pull in the penalty area. VAR is sucking the life out of the game. One minute you are celebrating a goal and then you are wondering what VAR has seen.
