What was pochettino thinking. Chelsea were playing really well and getting alot of counter attacking chances but then decided to fully hectic park the bus at the 65 min mark. They couldve won if they continued there original game plan.

We have humans not robots. They get tired. Did you see how much pressing they were doing? They gave all their energy but unfortunately couldn’t score more than one. We did have the quality in our bench to continue doing the same so we parked the bus It’s very hindsight saying poch bottled it considering we only conceded a deflection goal.

Jackson’s shooting isn’t actually bad it’s just his timing, he needs time to adjust to the pace of the league. No other new arrivals in the prem have scored more than him this season.

Jackson gets it worse in comparison to the other two under performers. And when Nkunku joined, in his Chelsea first interview, he claims ST to be his favourite position. So we could assume Jackson was brought to be backup to Nkunku, with Sterling and Palmer on the wings. But then again that’s just speculation, because you can argue CAM is Nkunku best position. Maybe CF.

overall good game from us (chelsea) didnt agree with the 5atb, parking the bus never works, especially against a hungry city but i guess i understand the idea, lucky haaland was worse than jackson tho lol. dont fault poch that much but man were the subs fcking sht, im convinced that nkunku didnt realize he was playing at all, refused to run at all, but overall ill take a 1-1 draw against city, onto the final!

Jackson actually has a really good all round game, it’s understandable he keeps getting dug out because strikers are judged by goals, but he was never meant to lead the line the way he’s had to this year because of Nkunku’s injury. Having said that it does remain to be seen whether or not he’s good enough for cfc, it I want to see him given time.

Has Hoijland scored as many as Nunez, let alone Haaland? He's a good player, Hoijland, plenty of potential, but it's still too early to compare him to Haaland. (I have to say that I rate all of the strikers I've mentioned, despite trolling their respective fanbases.)

i know the media can see a player get goals and assists and be misled and say they’re great but i didn’t think i’d hear commentators watching the game live get influenced by it. Jackson was awful until the first goal and yes he got a great assist but he should’ve 100% had a goal before and maybe 2, stats don’t always tell the full story

As a Chelsea fan, you’re so wrong. Jackson is a great player. He’s not a striker, he’s never been a striker, and I’ll concede he hasn’t got a good finish on him. But his hold-up play is the best at Chelsea bar none. He’s got a great pass in him, positionally he is solid, and he is our second highest goal scorer. Stats don’t tell the whole story, but that is an undeniable positive contribution to the team.

@@alexcooper3651 mate i watched him miss 2 big chances, one time the ball was in the air i think it was ake trying to win the header and jackson didn’t even challenge him, another time he took a touch and just didn’t know what to do so stood still and got tackled, u had a counter attack from a corner at one point and he didn’t pass it quick enough to the chance faded. It might just be one bad game from him but from what i’ve heard from chelsea fans is ur all fed up of him, he’ll be an ok second choice striker maybe but he’ll never be good enough to start not with the chances he misses

Your metric of “he missed big chances” is flawed. Haaland misses more big chances than any other player last night.

I would say Man City beat themselves today. Never known Haaland to miss so many. Great result for Chelsea, but 2 points dropped by City. And I know that the bottom line is the score, but 74.4 possession from City, 31 shots to 9 for City, but 5 on target City, 6 Chelsea, tells you all you need to know., although fabulous defending by Chelsea also.

@@tummas3395We’ve been playing Cole palmer centrally recently. But we don’t really play with a conventional striker. A team doesn’t have to play a striker. Jackson has spent his whole career on the wing, and has played his best football with us in the same role. Hopefully a fully fit Nkunku might be able to fill out the striker role for us, though I suspect he’d be better suited to the role palmer has been trying to fill of late.
