I and my 3 grandsons met Gypsy and her mother at the theater when Breaking Dawn Part 2 came out. I had recently moved to Springfield and they were allowed in early like we were because I am disabled. She was wearing a mask, and a hat with ears, and they sat down front. I hadn't even heard about what happened because we'd moved to Colorado to help my daughter when her husband deployed. We were gone from 2014 to fall 2015. What a shock when watching the first episode of The Act! I had to do a search and as soon as I saw a photo of Gypsy and her mother, I knew they were the ones we talked and chatted with in the movie theater! My middle grandson remembered them more than my other two. What a horrible life for Gypsy.

Joey King has so much class. Speaking as a professional, educated 30-year-old woman here, Joey’s professionalism is way beyond her years, and while I don’t think the gentleman interviewing her intended to come of as patronizing, he absolutely did, and she held her own so well in spite of it. The interviewer also seemed to confuse Joey for her character which I think speaks volumes on how talented Joey is as an actress. I am so awed by her.

Gypsy does seem like she's in a fantasy world and the fact shes actually engaged and seems like she's determined to be in love and live happily ever after. Just imagine if it all goes wrong. Can she handle disappointment well? What is the nature of her psychiatric health?

I know. She seems to kind of behave like someone with Borderline Personality. I'm not diagnosing. Just saying it kind of reminds me of that. I actually very likely have that, and just different things about her idealizing love and looking at it as a saving grace really seem like something pertaining to that like how someone with that views it. Personally, I don't think she is in the position at all to be in a serious relationship. She seems to think that will save her, and that's just not how it works. She really needs a lot of therapy and healing. What she went through won't just dissipate.

I feel she was just only trying to escape and like Joey said, she was dying to come out. So every time her mother stopped her from coming out, she felt only more trapped. Having her freedom she wont feel trapped no longer which will than change her ways. She was only trying to be free.

Just thinking that anything at this poit are just par for her course. Shes got this. I mean the life she lived was hell on earth, the jail she resides in now is hell on earth w perks of one day she will be free. So yeah if she has kids or gets married she deserves something to call her own , choices from her own mind without fear if it being a nightmare

Honey, Dee Dee didn’t want Gypsy to grow up and lose control of her... she had to be treating and pushing her to be a toddler acting adult. Yeah, environment also played a part but most was Dee Dee’s happiness when Gypsy talked and acted like a toddler. Gypsy’s subconscious decided to take the life of the woman who took and controlled what little of a life she had. She wanted to be free but murder was her chosen method as a way of revenge, instead of getting up and walking in front of the world. Gypsy also was raised by a woman who she was constantly seeing manipulate the public and also shared her dna.... she knew that she could control Nick. I hate to see someone having their life being under such control and manipulation and such abuse but Gypsy did some manipulation also when she talked to Nick. She molded Nick to do the act for her that poor girl was shit on in life but she’s still Dee Dee’s daughter.

Let’s be fair. The real Gypsy wasn’t only just controlled and manipulated by her mother- she was emotionally, medically and physically abused since a young age. Her mom would beat her, starve her and tie her to a bed with a chain. Gypsy tried to escape twice. Her mother tracked her down and tied her to a bed for 2 weeks. CPS came to her house but Dee Dee manipulated them. The whole system failed Gypsy. Gypsy had no other out. Her boyfriend Had his own problems and already had a police record before they met. It’s not fair to say she manipulated him. He had a sadistic side. She was desperate, loaded with prescription medications. Victims of abuse and especially Proxy victims have an altered perception of reality. Gypsy doesn’t deserve 10 years prison time. She should be in a mental rehabilitation facility so she can recover and learn how to live in the real world.

If you haven't lived that life, you have no room to judge her. She lived a horrible prisoned young life, and does not deserve to be in prison now. I believe her when she says she could not ever have killed her mother, even tho she got someone else to do it. Enuff is enuff of surgeries, pain, no teeth, no eating (especially sweets), no walking, playing or running. No friends, family, or boyfriends. Just mommy and her all her life living in pure hell. I sure wish she was found innocent from the beginning. Hopefully her father and stepmother can help her get out sooner from jail. I see her mother's pics, and I just can't stand her. She wasn't a stupid woman, knowing all she was doing to her daughter.

10 years for killing someone is getting off free pretty much. What about Nick? Why should he serve life is is special needs. She let him in she bought and gave him the knife and gloves. Give me a break

@@selinakyle3194 because no ones allowed to play god. And though she conspired it all, her circumstances were different than his, she was abused by this woman her entire life. He got life instead of the death penalty because of his special needs, he got life instead of 10 years because he murdered someone so severely that he nearly decapitated her. He took pleasure in killing Dee Dee and even though I feel bad for him, Im glad hes there for life. I dont want that psychopath on the streets.

Selina Kyle Getting free pretty much? She has been in a prison her entire childhood and she then gets prison her entire teenage years? She can not start living normally when until she is an adult. That’s unfair as hell. Gypsy actually mentioned that prison is much nicer than being with her mom so that’s nice atleast

when did Gypsy,s story became Joey king,s story over the one of Gypsy ? Gyosy still claim that she was never forced on anything by her mother casue she believe everything that her mother told her since she was a kid and that she allways thought that her mom was giving her what was best for her . Untill she got arested for killing her mother Gypsys still thought that her sickness were actually true untill the doctor at the prison told her otherwise . Gypsy did not kill her mother because she abused her casue untill she got arrested she didn,t even know that her mother was abusing her . She killed her mother when her mother threatened to kill her if she decided to leave her to be with someone else . This gypsy made it abondently clear even in court .And she stated that ehr mom never forced her into anything since she was already willing herself and you can find many videos where she still claims that her mom never forced her because she didn't need to . thats why Gypsy is so pissed off at Hulu and the series writers an specailly at Michelle Dean . she says that she doesn,t want people to see her mother in a way based on lies for who she wasn't but what she really was based on the real truth .thats why i dont even want to see the series cause i already no the story told by the real family and Gypsy herself
