@@detlefk5615 Gibt hier auf KZfaq drei "Originale" 😂 einmal Marlenes verhunzte deutsche Version, die klingt einfach grottig schlecht (meiner Meinung nach konnte die auch nicht singen), die Nachkriegs-Fassung von Lale Andersen und die echte Erstaufnahme von 1938/39 mit Lale Andersen.

@thEannoyingE That would be a guilt by association fallacy. Why not also ban anti smoking ads, since the third reich pioneered anti smoking campaigns. Why not ban vegetarian diets since the failed art student with a funny mustache was a vegetarian. Why not disband the US national guard? After all, they along with the FBI enforced the internment of Japanese-Americans. You see how ridiculous it would be to ban a song that isn't even political. Only political songs from the third reich are banned in Germany. Songs like the "Horst Wessel song" and "Volk ans gewehr" are banned because they are legitimate n*zi songs. Songs like Erika and Lili Marleen are not banned because they are not political songs, they are love songs that do not mention politics. Lili Marleen is actually an anti war song that was ironically almost banned by the N*zi government because Joseph Goebbels thought it didn't sound militant enough. Furthermore the allies also sung their own versions of Lili Marleen. Not to mention that this anti war love song has gradually been translated into over 80 different languages and dialects around the world, including Yiddish.

@thEannoyingE the Song was adapted for a short while in the third Reich era but then banned by the Nazi Regime in 1943. Because of the peaceful Text which tells the story of a soldier missing his wife at Home, the Regime thought it would Keep the soldiers from fighting. So they forbid Lale Andersen to Sing in public and also removed the Song from the Radio. Since its Not a Song of Nazi-Propaganda and even was forbidden in Nazi-Germany, it was not banned in post war Germany.
