As someone who was born in the 90s, watched movies of the 80s, a time when Arnold Schwarzenegger was an icon and had so many iconic, classic movies. I'm so happy to see his son is also building up a career in acting just like he did and his son is doing a good job at it and getting decent roles to play.

@@Katunnu101 Getting hired through connections is the norm in the Hollywood industry. That's actually how people in the industry often get hired. In any business actually. That's just called social networking were you build your career not only with your skills and talents but also getting close to people who are veterans in your field of work. Whether it's the entertainment, manufacturing, or commerce, if you want to get successful in life, you gotta have good connections and use those advantages otherwise, you'll find it more difficult to achieve your goals without social networking. I can see that you're a fan of basketball based on your profile pic. Even all of NBA players went through some form of social networking in order to get to where they are now. From getting close to good agents and managers to getting good sponsors, there's always some form of finding and building connections with those who are already at top of the economic hierarchy.

@@SuperRONDALE what I mean is Luke is the only character in Gen V who never acted for selfish reasons, backstabbed anyone or became corrupted. Everyone in his social circule somehow betrayed him. Outside of his parents by forcing him to be injected with Compound V, Brink forced Luke to be a subject for experiments in The Woods and lied about it, Cate, his girlfriend, covered up everything by erasing his memory even making him believe Sam died. Andre, his best friend, betrayed Luke by sleeping with Cate, Jordan betrayed Luke by knocking him out and covered up those incidents with Brink, not to mention Indira. Everyone Luke loved and trusted eventually betrayed him

Well it's sadly true, some famous kids do it bcs they have the privilege and advantageous routes to acting bcs of their famous parents and don't reach that level of commitment to acting, and some were probably even pressured to live up to their parent's legacy so they decided to do them. Quite few nepos like Patrick genuinely hone their craft for acting bcs that's what they're passionate about and actually took their serious effort and dedication to perform. But all I can say is the old generation of nepo actors serves much better than the ones we have in the newer generation. Not only acting, but just celeb nepos overall.

SPOILERS FOR LATER EPISODES IN SEASON Its pretty fucked up that Golden Boy was seemingly a good person, and not a stereotypical college bully. Yet he died almost being cheated by everyone. He was betrayed by Brink, Cate, Andre and for the only person that didn’t betray him(Jordan), Luke suspected them of betraying him.

Wrong. Episode 6 confirmed that Jordan also betrayed him, Jordan were aware the experiments Luke suffered, although only to an extension. Literally everyone he loved and trusted ended up backstabbing him. His parents, his mentor, his girlfriend and his two best friends. So it makes sense he snapped and collapsed

Both shows are great and have entertaining fight scenes but they could really use a good fight choreographer. Also crazy how Jordan v Golden Boy did more damage than Soldier Boy v Homelander. Edit: the bad fight scenes are because of bad choreography not because of the level of fighting skill the character has

Regardless how good this series is, I still don't like the decision to just dispose of Clancy in the first episode, he had SO much potential and was great for however short he got to play him. I think its because Cate made him forget about his brother but they said last episode the memories kept coming back, I assume because of his strength. He probably didn't have traditional hero ethics and probably had a screwed up psyche from Cate messing with his brain. He tried to kill Marie cus he panicked

Thank you thats exactly what i was thinking Interesting how alot of strong characters have sort of a contingency plan. Homelander in the comics has black noir & while jordan wasnt really golden boys,she was still kinda up to par with him a bit

I mean he was right. ::spoiler:: Jordan was in on it. Pretty gut wrenching how his 3 best friends willingly betrayed him. They weren't even his friends. A tragic character.

Yeah it’s funny how he is portrayed as crazy in this scene yet he is actually telling the truth about everyone including Jordan being in on it.

he really was a victim through and through. Honestly all his friends were horrible people, Marie and Emma were the only decent ones, Sam and Luke could've been good too if they weren't abused

After watching the whole series, i understand why luke went crazy. Imagine the love of your life kept erasing your memories of your brother whether you wanted to or not. Makes you very scared of what reality is and feels everyone has lied to you😢 truly RIP Goldenboy
