I have a red currant bush and this year it is loaded with berries. I'm so happy. However, it's been floppy too. I'm going to try watering less often and more deeply. Thank you!

they are drought tolerant and can thrive on very little water and not so great soil. 😃

I'm curious where you got that bush? I haven't ever been able to find ones with orange berries for sale. Also, I have seen them grown in full sun here in Utah without issue.

You can train it on a trellis or fence.

That's a great idea! I was looking at it today, and it's flopping all over my other plants because it was rained on. I was wondering if a trellis would help!

@@gardenwiseadventures lol - it will help. It almost reminds me of a climber. Mine is trained along a wire fence and keeps off everything else. Enjoy! I love the golden currants - it's a beautiful plant and smells so good!

Mine are almost black and sweet and tasty. PS. My father in law has one on a fence lung in full sun and it is doing well with no irrigation.
