Okay, we took his advice about how to use a prong collar and just like magic, ten minutes later, we were walking our DDR German Shepherd, not the other way around. So then, we signed-up for his course on using the e collar, (We’re half way through it) and thank God we did, because this guy knows his stuff…it’s like sitting in the classroom that trains police dogs, right in your living room. This guy is the “Real Deal” ..he’s funny, REALLY knows his stuff, and he’s a natural. He has changed our life with teaching us how to handle our high-drive German Shepherd and we’re soooo happy we found him here on KZfaq. One day, we plan to take a dogcation, and have him help us smooth out the rest of Hosanna Blessed Von Merryman Haus’s training. Thanks!

anyway I can send my 1 year old (today) goldendoodle to you for training. growling and barking at back sliding door at anything. while on walk he's very reactive and over friendly when people and dogs are walking by. can't do anything to get his attention back to me. I've tried tons of training tips since he was a puppy. for the most he is fine. sit down heel is good but when outside forget it!

Feel this is one of the best content for training. I say this after spending 100s of hours reading and researching training materials for my DDR German shepherd. Frankly, I am on the fence buying your online training as there aren’t any reviews on them yet. I absolutely believe in your abilities with working line dogs. However, not sure if the off leash online course would cater to my dog. He is 1.5 years, and mainly needs to learn leash manners around dogs and kids. He is the nicest dog in the dog park, but on leash will lock on and go 0-100 if a dog or a kid approaches, no matter how loose the leash is.

I bought his diyk9 ecollar mastery course and I can tell you that I 100% recommend it! I was able to train my dog that knew nothing before hand to now a master at off leash walking. His courses are like nothing I've ever seen before. They are fantastic and so much valuable information is taught. You can't go wrong them. Garret definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to dogs.

Shift Rapidz thanks. I got the shieldk9 course mainly due to reviews of it available. My dog is also quite dog reactive on leash. His loose leash is great, but can’t even get past a dog without hackling up and going bonkers. Does Garretts course address reactivity ? Thanks

I’ve watched about all your videos and I’ve tried using your methods but do you have any advise for potty training? I’ll take him outside and he’ll pee but then if I don’t watch him he’ll pee like 20 mins within being inside. However, if I am watching him he won’t pee. I take him outside about every 1.5 hours

I’m looking for a Standard Poidle to be my hearing dog when needed because i’m hard of hearing (with hearing aids) & deaf (without hearing aids night/early mornings) and take prescribed medications to help with my anxiety but I will need the Standard Poodle to nudge or paw at me when someone’s around me that i can’t hear or when there’s a noise i’m not responding to that’s aimed at me.. is it possible to get a SD that way ?? i can’t take him to work w me because i work in a hospital part time (5.5hr shifts M-F) and would only need the SD when i’m going out in public

@@christinegreen1185 you may need to stop using treats when on a real life walk. Someone said that the dog may find the pull and pop=reward. That might be true. I thing saying yes and good would be helpful instead of treats.

What is he trying to do? They said it was a service dog in training what is the service he is providing. What disability will he be managing? Home Depot is a nightmare for people with service dogs. Every time I go in Home Depot somebody’s pet tries to approach my dog and I have to warn them off and I’ve even had my dog attacked in Home Depot. There are a lot of people and trainers who push fake service animals and bring them into other retailers that don’t even allow pets. I would love to see more trainers, specifically outlining what a service dog is according to the ADA . Companion animals are not service dog. Your emotional support dog is not a service dog. In order to be a service dog, you have to have a disability which your service dog helps manage in someway. Your dog Hass to be on the leash, unless the leash will prevent your service dog from performing his duties. For example, if you are paralyzed and your dog is opening doors and retrieving items for you, he couldn’t do that while on a leash. Keep your pets at home. If you wanna take them out on an adventure, take them on a walk on a trail out in nature.

I should be allowed to go to the store and not have my PTSD from the multiple dog attacks I’ve experienced triggered because a lame ass want to be alpha bro needs to prove how awesome they are to everyone. Leashes are only a punishment if you make it one and if you make a leash a punishment you’re an awful dog trainer. They can walk by another dog and not react at all while safely on the lead. There are valid reasons why a working service dog might need to be off leash, you showing off how awesome you are isn’t one of them
