Agreed, there's not much competition going around, especially when these eagles catch mostly fish! There's nearly an endless supply for them to catch depending on the size of the lake or river they are catching them at! By the way, the Golden Eagle I'm seeing is a male immature Golden Eagle! The Bald Eagle is an adult female and is more than 5 years old since she's got the full-white head. She knows this Golden Eagle is inexperienced, and has a lot to learn to be able to hunt as effectively as that Bald Eagle does! I'm not saying she's anything like this Golden Eagle's parents, haha!

Yes, but it varies geographically. Northern eagles are going to be bigger, because they have to pack on more fat to keep them warmer in cooler climates. Golden Eagles thrive better near the Arctic. But Bald Eagles can thrive just about anywhere. So that is why Golden Eagles are usually bigger, but only by a few inches.

Because of how widely spread golden eagle species are, there is ton of sub species of golden eagles. North american Golden eagles are second smallest subspecies of golden eagle only bigger than japanese Golden eagle. 🧐 (I researched from google)

It's a juvenile golden eagle, they have white on the tail but not fully white, the smaller beak, golden neck feathers and more uniform brown plumage show its not a juvenile bald, also the legs are feathered all the way to the feet on the golden eagle.

i understand many mistake juvenile and sub adult bald eagles for goldens . that is not the case here. This is an adult bald eagle and an immature golden. bill size difference and golden nape are tell tale signs. thank you

I am sorry,,, do some more research . The bird is an immature Golden ,,, clear golden nape, small bill .... and white band on tail feathers,,, all golden markings,,,, maybe do some review of others comments,
