@Bryan-dr5qy4 жыл бұрын
@@jg1205 Well as Ricky said people often mistake the subject of the joke for the actual target. While I do see your point but Ricky has never made an offensive joke where the F-you part was the punchline. He knows award shows are always boring for the layman as it's basically Hollywood patting itself on the back. What I appreciate more about Ricky is that he's not catering to the richest, most privelidged people in the room, he's catering to the audience, by doing exactly that, teasing the richest, most privelidged people in the world. I guess that's why less of the people there feel comfortable. What's refreshing is that Ricky's highlighting how out of touch many of them are with the rest of society (including himself on occasion) and how hypocritical virtue signalling for the sake of virtue signalling is. So when some of them use getting an award as a platform to make a political speech as a way to lecture the public on what they should do and how, it only highlights the detachment from society all the more. Not saying these two aren't good because they genuinely are unconventional too (the Bill Cosby jokes cracked me up) just saying why people might prefer Ricky's roasts more. But hey everyone's opinions is worth as much as anyone else's so who knows. Also apparently they're both done with it anyways so cheers.

These two are just brilliant. If they had this job for life, I would not ever complain. Too bad they DON'T have this job for life.
