Absolutely fantastic rendition. I particularly love your unique vibrato and the sliding notes when you play the clarinet. You have lots of natural feel. Top class.

Quede muy pero muy encantado en la forma que interpretaron esta linda melodia, una de mis mas favoritas, que me transporta mucho tiempo atras, cuando era un adolecente creo que en 1954- O 1956... , Mas que todo me gusto mucho como la interpreto con el clarinete; Yo tengo un clarinete, y me gustaria aprender a tocar esta dulce melodia- Petite fleur...; Bueno todos tocaron bien y gracias por hacerme feliz con esta melodia de Amor..., Y que pacen un feliz dia todos.../ Norwalk, CT, 🧐 😢👁🧙‍♂✌👍 👀

Wow wow, as far I can remember Petit fleur, performed by a solo silver saxofonist, circa 1955 , during my early childhood. Thank you.

Chris Barber took this too the top of the charts back in the 50s.Monty Sunshine soloed on clarinet and Bechet was reputed to have thanked Monty for ' bringing sunshine to his little flower'.

Lovely. I have no idea if it's real...but I feel a Yiddishness, an almost Klezmer timbre and tone. The wind is haunting, the brass subtly divine like a settling brook. The keys he's a pro with real kinda chops...and the pluck, the originality of the stickman, those half rim half skin taps wonderful. Especially leading out of the piano solo. But to top it..I shan't soon forget her Lusty broad in shape somehow liquid flows in the spent out air, the air requesting more, her tone on what I figure to be e flat clarinet or silver soprano sax. Bliss is like this here. Thanks Yous

Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words! It is a 1926 Martin Handcraft soprano sax and I just use a stock Cannonball Soprano mpc and a 2.5 Rigotti Gold reed! That and many years of listening to Sidney Bechet and trying to absorb as much as possible!
