The Sebright chicken from England is one of the most beautiful true bantams you may find in the world of chicken breeds. Its plumage with the black laced feathers, and the rose comb make this ornamental chicken unique. Sebrights do also lay very big eggs for such a small bird and are wonderful backyard poultry!

I have 8 golden sebright hens and 1 rooster that I keep in a pen but had too many roosters so I have 3 that run out with my turkeys and guineas. I also have 30 small silver sebrights that are just now feathered out. Yours are beautiful

Serbrights are hard to breed since their past includes heavy selective breeding, making the hens go broody less. A friend said the best way to breed them is wait for the hen to lay the eggs, (of course there has to be a rooster.) And it has to be the same day she lays because the eggs will die overnight. And take them to a Wyandotte or Cochin hen, (because they are good hatchers) and the mortality rate goes down for a high mortality rate egg. And he said he would get 6 hatch out of 10 eggs Which is high for Serbrights.

wie teuer ist so ein sebright Hahn ungefähr?

Sind leider eher teuer. Meine ist kein Zuchthahn (Doppeldorn am Kammende) und hat trotzdem 35 Euro gekostet. Richtig perfekte können bis 80 Euro kosten je nach Züchter und wie gefragt seine Tiere sind. Dafür sind sie aber charakterlich auch sehr cool und es lohnt sich die Rasse auch einfach so wie ich als zierendes Haustier zu halten
