We have 1 of each breed. Our Goldendoodle in approaching two years old and has settled into a warm, loving, and playful dog. MUST be included in everything! Our Berne is a puppy of 11 weeks and we are already seeing the headstrong dominance of the female in her! Loveable, affectionate and loves to play! She has been a wonderful addition to our family and makes our goldendoodle happy!

We've had a large (92#) Goldendoodle for about 8 years now. Got off to a rocky start with him, as his separation anxiety issues manifested in destroying books and generally acting out. Almost overnight, he straightened up and became a VERY good dog. Gentle with the grandkids, playful, and smart as anything. He's a keeper, to be sure.

nice to hear. I know a few young goldendoodles and they are beautiful, but a handful, and one owner says his boy is evil. He loves him, but he admits it takes a strong owner, and a very fit runner, to keep his doodle happy. The dog goes to daycare 5 days a week now. I couldn't handle that, to be honest. We are thinking about a mini berdoodle.

@@camouflagejumpsuit The Bernedoodle will want to be close to you all the time, even more so than the Golden or Labradoodles. I have bred Labradoodles for 15 years and found them to be more like the Berne than the Golden. My Berne will hopefully be having her first litter about 8 months from when I posted this. I am breeding my tri color Berne to a Merle color 97% Poodle and 3% Labrador. All the dogs in the bloodlines on both sides are amazing dogs. They are very intelligent, therefore easily trained. Both of my Berne's parents are AKC registered and have great bloodlines. Mom is a full blood standard size Bernese Mountain Dog from Hungary and dad is a 100% standard Poodle from the USA. Whichever dog you pick to make a permanent member of your family, will give you many years of joy! Best wishes 🙂

Great video! I have 1 of each breed. Golden requires more affection and attention and our Berne is more cat like and prefers some alone time. Berne is absolutely a better watch dog like the video says! Both are well behaved and we love them!

We also have 1 of each breed. I agree with everything you said. One funny thing about the protective nature of the Berne is.....if you want to take a nap you better turn the TV off because if a dog or another animal comes on the screen our Berne will start barking at it. Both of ours are very smart and my wife and I love them both very much!!

@@cleophusfowler Oh yes! Our Berne watches tv too! Our tv is mounted high up on our wall so she can’t get to it thank goodness. Sometimes I put squirrel videos on to keep her occupied while I’m busy. Those are her favorite.

I have a mini Bernedoodle, 9 months old. She's lovable and smart, we love her so much. She's about 30 lbs, we would recommend this breed to everyone. She's great wour other dogs and cat, and she loves everyone. Thanks for the video.

We adopted a 2 year old bernedoodle female during the beginning of COVID lockdown. She is 92 pounds. She is currently 5 years old. She loves hiking and traveling. Her love language is touch. She loves being petted by everyone. She is an attention seeker and does get separation anxiety so luckily I work from home. She does bark a lot, seems like she has a lot to say. She’s a bit aloof from other dogs but she is friendly once she gets in the groove of things. Can’t shake the barking off. Pretty much her personality is set. She is way more of a human lover than a dog lover. She loves car rides.

!IMPORTANT CAUTION FOR ALL DOG OWNERS WITH BACKYARD POOLS!.... Ensure that even if your pool is closed off normally to your dog, that it has stairs/exit that your dog can get out from if it falls or jumps in. You will need to mark the area of the pool with the dog exit/ steps with either a planter or post that the dog can easily see from within the pool (do not use an object that can or would be easily moved from the area has this will confuse the dog when trying to exit the pool. It is best and easy to train and show your dogs the safety exit. NOTE: THOUSANDS OF DOGS DROWN IN POOLS BECAUSE THEY ARE UNABLE TO GET OUT IF THEY FALL IN!!!.

My F1B bernadoodle is about 100 pounds now at 13 months. Mom was a bernadoodle and dad was pure bernese. He’s massive with the tri colour look. Fantastic dog, very loving snd cuddly but these breeds do not come cheap. Paid $3500 for him and they are doing anywhere from 5-20k right now depending on the breeder. The wait lists are a few years right now at a few of the main breeders.

Bernadoodles are amazing! Extremely intelligent and Lovable. Ours is around 60 lbs and is a great watchdog for the house and loves to cuddle. We don't like to shave him so brushing is an everyday thing.

Nice video 😊. We have a 12 week old golden doodle. (We call them groodles in Western Australia.) She is quite calm for a puppy - until she knows it’s playtime - then anything can happen 😆. She loves all people and seems quite fearless. I’m not sure if that’s part of the breed or the lovely family who raised her litter. I have been surprised by how big and solid she is. I think she’s going to be huge! I’m a small woman and it’s already difficult for me to pick her up comfortably. My son, however, is 6 ft 3 - so perfect for him! Just thought I’d share that - the “standard” size groodle/golden doodle is a LOT bigger than other poodle crosses like spoodles/cockapoos or cavoodles/cavapoos.

I don't know if one is "better" than the other. They each have their own unique personalities and abilities. I have a Labradoodle and a Bernedoodle. Both are standard size and both are easily trained. The Labradoodle is already a certified service dog and the Bernedoodle soon will also be registered as a service dog. They each have their own jobs they do for me.

We purchased our two Bern’s as brothers. Paid $3500 each from a great breeder in South Carolina. They delivered them to us personally which made it an easy decision versus flying up from Florida. They are 4 months old and our silver is 25 lbs and our tri-color is 22 lbs. They are a handful and mischievous but training starts at month 5 so we are hoping that the training will create calm little babies but these are high intensity dogs that demand people interaction time and forget about separating them if you buy or adopt littermates. They cry when one is gone from the other after about 2 minutes and we have been trying to slowly separate to make our lives a bit easier. Frequent walks but they are lazy as well and it is a struggle occasionally as we have to pick them up to get the walk moving again. Not every time but it isn’t a joy. Great video info!

How big are your boys now? Is your tricolor still tricolor? Ours lost his brown with his puppy fur. We only got the one Berne and when we went looking for a second we found out our breeder stopped breeding bernedoodles... Got a goldendoodle instead...

I can’t speak for their cost at breeders, but I have a berneddodle that we bought from some people in Amish country who had a Bernese and poodle and just bread them, and she was only like 700 dollars. Also the tri-color ones are quite a bit more expensive.

To be fair, bernadoodles are a fairly new breed. Golden doodles have been around for awhile, have been made famous by even one of the presidents as it was a white house dog(can't remember which one) I'm sure bernadoodle will become more popular 😊 I mean LOOK AT THAT FACE🤗💗 I can't wait to buy one in the future 💖

Mini because I live in apartment The first thing they did ask ia willl he bbe alone alot. Not at all later on he will be a service dog. Thank goodness i almost got a goldendoodle instead

No. I like hybrid breeds. I want the personality of a golden retriever and the nonshedding coat of the poodle. Designer dogs are less predisposed to genetic disorders. If you prefer purebred poodles that's great, but you are not going to tell me what to like or what to do with my money.
