Seventh level of Krollywood's fan remake of GoldenEye inside Far Cry 5's Arcade Editor, Statue! Great environment and atmosphere here, but sadly the limitations of the Far Cry Editor are obvious here - You can't really have friendly NPCs to talk to as "Valentin" simply flees after you release him, and Trevelyan is a miniboss fight. I would've loved if the support guards after you kill him would carry shotguns instead of rifles, but then again I'm not sure of the limitations with AI and the Editor. Either way, great level as usual!
This is faithful recreation of the full GoldenEye campaign (excluding the bonus levels) within the limits of the Far Cry 5 level editor. Played on PC in 4K 60FPS with Ultra settings and minimal HUD settings. Featuring the dynamic soundtrack composed by Yannick Zenhäusern AKA GoldenZen's from the cancelled GoldenEye 25 project.

As of June 23rd, 2021, MGM pulled off the fan remake from the Arcade Mode inside Far Cry 5. However, you can now play them again on PC (and soon consoles) by looking up "Golden Cry" on the Arcade Mode or simply search "Graslu00" as map creator. 4:33 this moment is so James Bond it hurts, the tension an enemy shooting from behind and the agent just turning back and dealing with him like nothing

That's so true. And the AI doesn't make it easier. In my first version of Statue, "Natalya" just took the heli and stole it. 😅😅 That .....was not my plan.

I can't believe the amount of work put into the redesign of these levels. Absolutely astonishing! Yannick, your soundtrack to this level is phenomenal! Really captures the feel of the film.

Thank you. 🥰 Well, Statue was not so difficult to rebuild as the others (just 43 hours) but it made fun to create this atmosphere. 😊

@@ThePixelExpedition Well, the Facility & Runway took 174 hours and Surface & Bunker 132 hours. It could be faster but I revised nearly all levels, because this project was my very first contact with this editor. I had much to learn and this knowledge I had to use in my older, finished levels. And.....Ubisoft released an update later with scripts and invisible walls. VERY useful for this remake. 😅

@@krollywood1405 That's some serious commitment! Wow... Goldeneye 25 aside, these levels could have literally been the remake we've all been craving. I don't know If I'll ever get to play them, but I'm giddy watching these gameplays of your levels. Thanks for your hard work!

Well, just bought Far Cry 5 for no other reason than to play this for myself. Honestly, the developers should probably pay thus guy since he’s now gained them a lot of money,.

Valentin's not much of a businessman in this version, clears out at the first sign of trouble. Also, it's kinda amusing to me how well the assets from a game set in rural Montana allowed for a statue park full of Soviet iconography. Kudos to the creator as usual. That rendition of the helicopter missile scene from the movie, so good!

Thank you. 🙌 Well, Statue was easy to rebuild (just took 43 hours) but it was fun to create the atmosphere with thunder and raindrops.....but unfortunately it isn't possible in FarCry to make real rain. 🙄

That's right. But to rebuild Statue was easy. 😅🙌 Not everything there but the most parts was easy to make. Just took 43 hours to rebuild.

Rescue Natalya??? Looks like Natalya already got out of the chopper by herself😂🚁🪂. Also, Valentin Zukovsky got really bald and skinny over the years😂

Yeah. 🙈 That's are the limitations I had to work with. Unfortunately. And it was really challenging to let Natalya be there at the right moment, you can't imagine. 😅

This is better than the original just because you can see what's in front of you. I played the remastered xbox version not long ago and it was STILL pitch-black.

@@dennisjohnson1937 if you have a pc, download the xenia emulator. To download goldeneye for xbox, download it on softtonic.com and then right click the folder and extract it to itself. Drag the extracted folder onto xenia and play goldeneye.

@@dennisjohnson1937 WAIT NEVERMIND, download the game on archive.org and download the ZIP file on the right of the screen. It should say download options with both the torrent and ZIP. Just download the ZIP and then extract it and drag it into xenia.

You can't make scenes. But I added the statue and the end of the level and you have to shoot Janus. Well, it's not exactly like on N64 but I have to work with the limitations of FarCry. And FarCry has very limited scripting possibilities.

Why did they make the guards agro from the start? I always liked statue that noone was agro until you met Janus

Well technically they always pushed the spawn, but here is due to them hearing you from far away.

Hey. Well I made this remake and yes, it's because of the limitations of the editor. They are bader than you think. If I don't put control-zones (linked to the enemies), you will have ALL enemies right in front of you, when you shoot the first enemy. 😅 It isn't easy to make every little script thing exactly like the original.

MGM pulled them and I don't think anybody reuploaded them to Xbox yet. There's a few reuploads but with unlimited ammo and cheats enabled, so they're boring to play.

I love the level designs but the enemies seem to generic and all look the same no different faces or uniforms 🤔 in the original they were better I think. Everything else is awesome 👌

The visuals on these remakes are gorgeous, but the gameplay feels off. And the lack of objectives and story elements is strange. And why does Bond run so fast? It feels unrealistic and makes the levels feel very small. Okay, I'm done complaining.

This is all just Far Cry with maps created in the game's editor on a PS4 - You are not able to modify anything and the scripts are very limited.
