One of the things I have always admired about this game is the ability to soft lock yourself and continue the mission, sometimes without even knowing. If gives the game way more of a nip and tuck feel, like your always threading the needle just in time.

This is why I love this game! Not only did its ambition pay off, not only is there many ways to screw up your mission intentionally, but you can still play through the mission even when you do! Granted, you need to complete the objectives to get to the next one, but screw that! Screwing around is fun once in a while!

Statue is the stage with the most objectives on Agent difficulty. It is also one of the few levels where progress grants access to certain events.

I hated that alarm that faded in and would continuously blare until you either stopped the mission or you died. Like when you activate the radio in the second surface level or Natalya checks the console and discovers the Goldeneye satellite is going to fire on the bunker.

Games dont even have complex missions anymore they baby you and put bright shiney waypoints which ruin the explorationt trial and error.

First time I played, it was a rented game, so I chose the Jungle turned to Natalya with my magnum and shot her dead, and I was like I love this game lol

I've always noticed the AI acts very differently on emulators compared to the console, that thing of enemies shooting permanently to the same direction doesn't happen at all on the console, and it seems to me that the AI is far less reactive on emulators for some reason. I don't know if it's because of the overclocking on the emulator affecting the timing in some way that makes enemies act weirdly?

What system is this being run on? The graphics look too smooth and clear for it to be an N64.

This is sort of a blooper as these could kill speedruns especially on Control.

I used to failed objectives in Surface because in the first one You just have to press B in the system, in the second one You have to destroy the computer, many times i changed the actions 🤣

You can fail destroying the communication systems by pressing B

Needless to say, you missed one in Control; instead of killing Boris, you could've also destroyed the computer that Natalya would use to locate the GoldenEye satellite. I say "needless" because that would/could be irrelevant, as it would be the same predicament of her going back to the elevator/lift as if you DID kill him.
