I was 16 when Nena's version hit the air waves in Australia. Fast forward to early 2000's, I was a first time parent and heard Goldfinger's version on the radio and thought yeah, great cover version of the original. Fast forward to the present, working from home due to COVID-19 and I come across this video during my lunch break. Thank you Goldfinger for making my day :).

I used to be a member of the Pyrotechnics Guild International. Once a year they have a week long convention and we get to experience new technologies and methods of displaying (class B) fireworks. Most of the displays have music playing while the shows go on. I think it was the bluegrass pyrotechnics guild while they were shooting their show this song was playing and I was blown away when during the last chorus somehow 99 very bright red lamps appeared in the sky it was amazing, so now every time I hear this song I remember that night fondly. Hearing and seeing these guys perform this song and remembering that night moves me very deeply, I do so live in gratitude for the efforts and talents of real musicians like these. THANK YOU!

This was one of the first songs I'd ever heard from Goldfinger. Over 20 years later I still listen to them now. Rocking

The 80s original was one of the first songs i can remember and I've always loved this song ever since. How can anyone not love a song that has the line "worry, worry super scurry" in it, even if it is a song about a nuclear Armageddon.

Me, a 55 yo man who went to Goldfinger shows back in the 90s with my "little" sister, was recently heard saying to her, after watching these wonderful quarantine videos, "When did Goldfinger become old?" Her response "About the same time we did!"

I already have affection for this genre, only increased by nostalgia, and this video plays on one of my strongest emotional vibes: people coming together to make something despite adversity. Never not happy to watch this!
