Hello Aquatic Garden! Did you use a water dechlorinator or other conditioners for the fry tank? Do I need to use an air pump/air stone for the fry tank? Please help!

No we haven’t used any kind of conditioner.

Please note the OP uses well water, if you are getting chloronated water you should be using a treatment.

Sadly they need a airpuml or they will be underdeveloped and die out like myn did thankfully yesterday my goldfish laid eggs and they will probably hatch tommorow

I came here to ask for some help I bought 12 juvy sized ranchus I added a filter and a air pump but they still keep dying there's only 3 left .... I don't know what to do

There can me many reasons for the fishes are dying. Like size of your tank the water quality you used or could be the temperature difference and many more. If you are over feeding your fishes than this could also be a reason .

Its alwys betrer to use an oxygen pump but in our case we havent used any air pump.

Hi! You can add aeration with air stone in low speed once the fries are able to swim freely and that usually takes 4-5 days after hatching 😊

Yes we are not using external filtration but we change 30% of water once in every 5 days

When goldfish babies are born they are usually black or brownish to silver colour. With time they gradually turn to their original colour.
