There's always one MC hater that has to pipe up. Medic is sick. Keeps the crowed engaged throughout the breakdowns the compliments the flow of the set perfectly.

I’ve been a drum and bass raver since the mid 90’s and heard all the greats of the underground but never Goldie. I heard him at Pikes for the first time this year and it was definitely a vibe. Classy intelligent D+B. I’m going again in September to see him at Dreamland alongside the greats Hype, Randall, Dilljnja and Congo Natty. Can’t wait.

Went to Hootenanny Brixton after for JJ Frosts Birthday bash where Hype, Brockie and Det, JJ frost and Bryan G smashed it in a proper old skool sweat box peace vibe venue 👊🏼

Honestly didn’t really know who Goldie was or what he played before this year, but saw him play at Northern Bass in New Zealand on the 30th of December and instantly understood why he was the king of metalheadz. Bass on top of bass. Seamlessly mixed, one of the best sets I’ll ever see. Taken a lot of notice to this guy since then. Sometimes that’s all it takes

I was there. For all the MC haters in the comments, he was MUCH lower in the mix. Amazing night (er, day) but the Dillinja b2b Randall set w/ GQ was absolute 🔥🔥🔥 first rave I've been to since the 90s where people were smoking weed. Yes, I've already bought tickets for the next one :)

Mate it was so wicked, brought together some of my orginal raving crew from 93...one of whom I've known since I was 3..! Great times, feel so alive in a rave, nothing like it, respect 👊 ps. Now just making sure my 10 yr old and 7 yr old grow with decent music taste. So far, so good 😎

@@daswamiboy2377 ha! Funny you should say that. I was watching the techs and the engineers coz we stood at the back for most of the Metalheadz tent. My mates do audio for indie bands and he says always watch to see if the front of house engineer/s are into it. They were INTO IT. Goldie don’t mess about with the sound, especially when he’s on :) You should come. I went with my old crew; we’ve known each other since we were three. We’re now 47 / married / jobs etc. Had about 15 years “off” now we go out again. London is incredible. Let’s keep this music alive 😎🫡

The sort of set I enjoy. Hate to say it would've been better if the MC eased off a bit. Shame it wasnt Lowqui. Get the feeling it was more a jump up crowd than a Blue Note one though.
