Golf Cart transformation 5 minute time lapse! Installing the Spartan body kit on a Club Car DS

Not a tractor video this time, but I thought I'd share the transformation of this '91 Club Car DS. The only things replaced in this video are the body kit and the seats are recovered. Hope you enjoy it, and ask any questions. More golf cart and John Deere videos to come!

These are nice but holy crap they are expensive. $1000 for the body and $300 for the light kit. Crazzzzy.

Thanks for doing this. I was thinking of changing the body on my wife's cart. but didn't know how hard it would be. Just did the dash, seats, and added lithium battery.

Thanks for making this video! I just received my spartan body today. Couple questions; did you rewire the cart with the provided wire harness or just wire the lights into the existing harness? Also, what size hole drill bit did you use for the charging receptacle? TIA!!

The Spartan body I received it didn’t come with a light harness… Just the lights. I cut the plugs off of the lights and wired them into my existing light harness. As far as the charge receptacle, I can’t remember the size but it was slightly over 2 inches I think. Just hold some hole saws up to the old hole on the original body until you find one that’s close. That’s what I did. Thanks for watching!

Did you put the metal support bracket back back under front seat behind the forward/reverse switch? Im having the hardest time getting mines back in proplerly without creating a buldge partial due to after market mat.

This cart was a 92 with a fiberglass rear body, and the fiberglass body didn’t originally have that part. I know what part you are referring to and it can be a pain. I still service this cart regularly and it has been just fine without it.

I actually got it on eBay. I think it was about $1200.

the block u added for the front bumper (aluminum) did it came with the body kit ? thanks in advance!

Yes, the bumper block came with the Spartan body kit. It also included a 1 inch front spacer to lift the leaf spring, which keeps the wheels from rubbing the body while turning.
