Titleist staff member Brad Faxon tests golf IQ by posing a simple putting riddle to all the players he coaches. Picture two golf balls on a green. One ball is ten feet, downhill from the hole. The other is ten feet, uphill from the hole. If you hit both putts at the same time, which ball will get to the cup first? Answer before you watch the video and then find out how this information will help improve your putting significantly.

This is one of the best instructional videos on breaks and speed I have ever seen, with no unnecessary chitchat. We need more instructional videos like this. Hats off for Brad Faxon and Titleist.

Gravity and the impact of the elements on the downhill putt … never thought about it that way before. More time for things to go wrong. Would love a putting lesson with Mr Faxon.

I've always enjoyed playing in damp conditions because it allows for more aggressive putting.

Interesting and logical explanation. Question raised in a round yesterday is what affect on ball speed is caused when the ball goes airborne after hitting an imperfection or something on the green? does it slow the ball down, speed it up, or no change. Assuming it's a straight and level putt.
