Just when I thought I'd seen it all with regards to the golf swing your video (this particular video) popped up on my feed. I hadn't heard of you prior to a few hours ago. What made intuitive sense to me was the rotational symmetry of your pelvis in your swing caused simply by the bending of one knee at a time thereby causing the hip on the same side to rotate clockwise for the backswing and counterclockwise for the downswing. It is so SIMPLE! I hadn't even considered doing it. So, I tried it out for myself. WOW! It immediately fixed all the excessive movement I'd been doing. It has eliminated lots of moving parts to my current ungraceful and failed swing and has replaced them with a swing that has repeatable sequencing and predictable behavior. A GIANT THANK YOU!

It is the most efficient way and powerful way to swing.. Nicklaus and snead and many others did this .. and yes heavily influenced by him and manuel de la torre and many others.. I hope it helps people

Sir you are hands down the best golf coach period. I’ve experienced with many; however, your teachings are so practical and repeatable, almost as if we are cheating. All clubs in my bag are so easy to hit especially long irons and fairway woods. One request can please do something more on hitting the driver. Driver has always been a change also maybe a little head-trash may be my issue too. You’re the GOAT DUDE!

2 lessons with the King and he fixed me. King Roger has an amazingly simple way explaining how the golf swing works. Just back from the range. 147 of the 150 or so balls I hit we perfect or near perfect. I could hit half of them well on my best day. I’m a 70 year old single digit player and Roger released the Kraken in me. Give him a chance to help you

Great video Roger. It all makes so much sense and as a bonus is actually works. I had a great round yesterday without the usual hip pain that I experience after 18 holes. I know you own your living from teaching Golf et cetera but in one of your videos you did mention about the importance of building muscle as you get older and the need for the right protein in your diet et cetera. If you ever find time I’d love to hear more about that, as I think that’s important not just for life but for enjoying Golf going forward as we all get older.

Hi Roger, Can you explain how swing the weight that you talked about in other videos fits in here? I came away from those thinking that the body follows the arms swing but in this video, the arms swing as a result of the weight shift you so well explain. Keep up the great videos!
@rkswingking
@rkswingking Ай бұрын
Oh Yes , the weight swinging is done by the hands responding to the weight swinging . The arms are just going along for the ride .. The hands swing the club over the shoulder on the backswing and the arms swing the club to the target on the follow through . The body just responds . If you swing a weight on a string this sequence just happens

Question about set up- Are your scapulas neutral at setup? And do they just follow the swing in a circle? Thanks.
@rkswingking
@rkswingking Ай бұрын
Yes they are neutral at setup and in a relaxed state.. the arms follow the torso. Left arm is radius on backswing but should be same feeling as just hanging please don't tighten and of those joints

Question about grip- At :42 sec mark I notice your lead thumb is straight down the shaft. When you play is it in the same position or more to the right side of the shaft (1 o’clock) position? Thanks Rog!
@rkswingking
@rkswingking Ай бұрын
My thumb is on the right center of the shaft hopefully always ...lol If it was in the middle it was not in right place .. the thumb on right center of shaft to support the weight at the top of the swing and always keep the webbing of thumb and first finger together

Yes .. I would probably just have you never worry about Weight transfer and practice swinging on the right leg only with just your 10 percent left leg tapping and behind you. I made a video in one of my shorts on this
