Gryfflet has been contemplating his success in Pelargir last session so is ready to leave the city, if only he can recall the way out. He hasn't gone far before a surprise encounter with some terrified Haradrim ends badly for them but they were apparently not alone: Gryfflet is asked to investigate a sighting of a Sorcerer lurking near the town of Erynos. His search leads him to stumble across a tribute basket intended for Silverfroth, the River-maiden of the nearby River Celos, and a new Quest to find similar baskets for her four Sisters, some of whom he has already met. He eventually finds the Sorcerer who has some interesting things to say before unwisely attacking and being defeated. Within the town, Glathril wants Gryfflet to help prepare more tribute baskets for the Sisters: he is bemused by their lack of reaction to the drowned Corsairs at the city gate. He proceeds to distribute the new tributes while searching for the others which gave us time to consider a Lore Question until he reaches Aragorn's Camp where he is given tasks to prepare for sailing up the Anduin to Minas Tirith. This being a shorter session than usual, there is just enough time to return to Erynos to confirm that Glathril's tributes have been delivered.
"Can't stealth on a regular horse!"
"Oh no, wait, the deer are attacking the town!"
"You got to be kidding me, now I'm getting attacked by a deer!"
Lore discussed this week included the physicality of Balrogs; a drive-by attempt at trolling prompted a revival of the discussion about the conjugation of "yeet". As stated this was a shorter session than usual, which will be a pattern while the "Rings of Power" is showing.
