@@Tomas-ml9nv Kazakh is turkic language as Turkish. El Bası means literally "the head of nation". El-nation, bas-head. And the surname Elbası isn't common here.

Come on guys, you should admit that Nazarbayev is not as bad as it can seem and the resignation is a loudest indicator. His presidency was not against the constitution. Not France will teach us about the power, because France itself had a lot of presidents who were in power after the end of presidency. How was that general's name? De-Golle?

Are You sure? What about corruption on every corner?
@y3rzhan
@y3rzhan 3 жыл бұрын
@@saulemaybektemirova458 I really am. Even top democracies are corrupted. Sarkozi was as corrupted as Kz elite and France is protecting another Kazakh oligarch who have stolen millions of USD. It is a big political game when pro-British Kazakh elite is criticized by French media. As long as Kz society is united - corruption on every corner is a solvable problem (Compare with Kz 20 years ago - we improved a lot and compare current France with France 20 yrs ago - they did not improve, they are in a huge crisis). Kz is not USA or Australia, we are not separated by oceans from superpowers, we share borders with corrupted and authoritarian Russia and China, thus, stability is really key to our prosperity, no matter who is the ruler or how corrupted he is. Democratic revolutions lead to Karabakh, Crimea, Pridnestrovie, Ossetia etc. Kazakhstan is not as bad as we think, there are plenty of opportunities and potential to grow. IMHO, it is important not to destroy what we have built in those 30 years. I tend to believe that 'Democratic' and liberal opposition will criticize China and Russia and it will destroy our country and independence. Kz is not perfect, but much wealthier than democratic Armenia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan etc. Ofc we are not as rich as France, but they built their scientific and political institutions by exploiting African and SEA ppl and robbing their colonies

@@y3rzhan Kazakhstan is developed these 30 years because of resources, such as oil, gas and so on. I wonder, if all these wells at least will be emptied with what we will stay? We don't have an export. France was one of the developed countries before our getting independence, having stable economics. Corruption is a problem of every country. We hope that all of these problems will be solved.

Actually, the people who are living in the slums kinda deserve it. They refused the offer from the developers that they will be given an apartment with the same living space, and instead, demanded millions of dollars, which is ridiculous. I personally know a family living in that area who genuinely regret their decision made in the past.
