Wish someone would have asked about Hunter Sallis and about how big he was for this dub in keeping him in significantly longer than he averages versus bringing Bolton or Nolan back in. Give Hunter some love. He got mentioned once in this PC, but the dude's defense this game was HUGE!

I agree, I hope that those players that dont necessarily get the spotlight like Timme does know how much Zag nation truly respects and notices what they do. Sallis is massive on D and getting more looks on offense. Smith is that guy, we know what he did last year but he has some of that Mamba mentality and does it on both ends. Hickman (while this wasnt his game) is a lethal ball handler, dribble drive and pulls up. And Anton Watson is the most massively underrated unsung hero of this team. Zags got dudes!!!

Bolton is a 3 point shooting threat though, of course teams are going to make sure to cover him. However, I do agree that Hunter Salis has been contributing in a big way. Hickman seems to be the one struggling though.

I don’t know how this team keeps winning . but I just have to say Few keeping Hickman on the bench was the turning point ! GO ZAGS!

Way to go Zags! We BELIEVE!!!! So thankful for our bench. Those boys should have played more of the first half when things were falling apart. In the end…..we March on!!

Shocked.. that Mark Few did not change defenses (zone?) in the first half when Gonzaga struggled, time after time, dealing with UCLA ball screens. Shocked.. that out of a time out near the end of the game, Mark Few did not draw up a press break to inbound the ball to one of the better free throw shooters on the team, as opposed to Anton Watson. Shocked... that with 12 seconds on the clock and behind by 1 point, Mark Few ran a 'buzzer beater' play for a 30 foot shot, rather than trying to get to the basket off the dribble. ELATED... that Julian Straugther knocked down the 30 foot shot with about 6 seconds to go. Go Zags !!!!

I was shocked that he drew up that play with so much time left and such a long shot (I'm sure it was longer than 30 feet). But one thing that has made Few such an incredible coach is him knowing his players and trusting his players. You can't argue it if it works.
