To be fair the anime of High School DxD doesn't do it's story but it's actually still great you kinda have to look deeper than just "issei is a pervert and the story sucks" the story is actually really amazing and deep, the characters are really complex like you probably won't get this from just your first watch but issei actually develops a fear of women because of Raynare (the girl who killed him) since he actually loved her
