OUR Problem is;; Either we are a Nation of Laws or a Corporate Entity of policy/rules...... you can not do both! During CV-19 we got the greatest view of this problem when policy/rules mandated "Masks & a 6' Rule" ! Police started following these "rules" & they were not the law. What happens when a Municipality creates policy/rules that police arrest you for? Other Corporate folks ask Police to honor their policy/rules as LAWS ! Police started doing this & the inherent danger of this is in how fast ANY type of Corporate Entity or Business can simple make a rule, print it out, and post it all in an hour or two. This is not legal under the Republic for which we stand, we are not a Democracy ! We do democratic things like voting but we are a Republic & it requires the Legislature @ Federal or State levels to create new Laws ~ Policy -n- Rules were Never the Law ; don't accept tyranny !

I don’t think he should’ve lost his job, all the employees there thought they had that kind of authority, they probably trained him that way. He should’ve just been re-educated like the rest. I’ve worked a few security jobs in the past and some of them encourage that kind of behavior and tell you to do things you aren’t legally allowed to do. He should’ve handled it differently but he was genuinely trying to do what he thought was his job.

@theprodigalsun__ The company did right in firing him. Hopefully this is a lesson learned. If the sheriff was more direct to this security guard, this encounter would nit have lasted as long as it did. The security guard needed to be fired. @@jeremiahsouthworth5112 but that is the thing, the LEO really doesn't get it! At one point he said "I told him I am not kicking her out, that he could kick her out". Mind you, this is a video about "Good cop". Maybe I ask for too much, but for me a cop good would have told the security to back off or he would be arrested for bothering/harassing the lady. I am just over the 10 minute mark of the video where the lady is asking for an escort to be able to go inside a public building and conduct her business. Something tells me she won't get either of the two LEOs at the scene to actually do as she ask's and escort her in to do her business. Compared to most other LEO interaction videos that I see, yes these LEOs seem to be better than the norm, but are they really "good" officers? At the end of the day it is this straight forward: If what ever I am doing in public is 100% legal, then almost by definition it is illegal for anyone to use force to try and prevent me to continue to do what I am legally doing. Is that really a hard concept for an LEO to grasp? what about for a "good" officer? Why does the lady have to wait for this "good leo" to convince the security guard before the lady can continue on with her day/business? Has anyone noticed how on these type of youtube videos, we always see LEOs acting TOTALLY different when they are dealing with other gov officials or with other large private company employees? The know the average "joe" doesn't have the money nor the connections to make a big fuzz, but with gov officials and large corporation employees they take a MUCH higher risk if they don't act "professional".

@@I.____.....__...__ I did finish watching the video. My take, the LEO was well intention-ed, but showed his poor training. Like I had assumed, NO ONE escorted the lady in, she had to wait around for the supervisor to show up and "confirm" her rights. Also like I had assumed, the security guard did verbally threaten the lady in front of the LEO stating he would physically prevent her from going into the building. The lady was crystal clear, "I want an escort because I am afraid he will go hands on if I try to go in", then the security guard confirms he would go hands on if she tries to go in. Why didn't the LEO tell security guard that a an LEO he would have to arrest HIM if he physically tries to prevent the lady from going in? Again is that too much to ask from an LEO? How about from a GOOD LEO? Supervisor did arrive. In front of the supervisor twice the LEO said "if they city clerk asks her to leave, then she does have to leave". Would you say that is a correct statement? Can the city clerk really trespass whoever they want for no legal reason?

That confused me because they were moving at the start from another place where she’d been filming and people kept talking about a library, a county clerk’s office, and a DMV. I know things can double as others but I’m not sure what he was specifically not letting her into. He even points to “over there” where he has no problem doing what she’s doing and keeps invoking the clerk’s policy and permission. Kinda wish AtA had set the stage a little clearer since I’m not a local.

At my local courthouse, NO cells are allowed inside the building. If you are there for whatever reason, you are not allowed a phone. This policy has been in place since 9-11. Only employees inside, police, lawyers, etc. are allowed communication devices.
@rightson750
@rightson750 9 күн бұрын
@TerriSweeney-rs3wi 🤣🤣 exactly! POLICY.....not a law. Good luck with that. Police cannot arrest you for a policy. Police cannot enforce policy. They are "law enforcement" not policy enforcement. What courthouse is this? Because if it's another one of these mix-used government buildings that some tyrant judge thinks he controls entirely, I would love to send some friends to make sure those "policy" signs are taken down. The public is being lied to, and unfortunately some citizens do not know their rights. Imagine being in a building with a buncha Thugs, and you can't call for help, or record the interaction for future action.

@@SilconOne I can give plenty of good cop stories from when I was growing up. In the late 90s and early 2000s I was an active skateboarder and there werent skateparks all over yet so we skated the streets. Which meant a lot of cop interactions. 99 percent of the time it was peaceful and ammicable even though at that time society viewed skateboarders as scum. But with me saying that, I also know that cops are not my friend and that there are plenty of bully and psychopathic cops or just plain ignorant, so knowing your rights and when to talk and when not to talk is important. And I definitely have a few stories of rotten cops as well but only a few. I'm also only speaking for the city I live in, other jurisdictions can be utterly terrible.
