I really enjoy the show this topic specifically. I haven't smoked in over 30 years. When I did smoke their would always be someone insisting that one day pot would be legal. The nights were full of drinking as well, so you listened to topics with a grain of salt. That day has now arrived. I do not know Mr. Cuomo, .I do not even live in NY. However, one day, I was waiting on line to make a purchase at the store. On the TV was Mr. Cuomo, making an exit from Gov. Office. next to me was another customer who I did not know. He said he knew the Cuomo family that he was their neighbor and they were nice people. If people would simply be nice, the world would be a better place.

But they are leasing space, so can't there be some provision where the owner of said space requires proof of licensing? How hard is this? Not hard at all. If there is a law that requires owners of commercial spaces whether large or small to require explanation for use of space and proof of licensing when required (regardless of industry, not just Mary J), then landlords would have leverage and remove failure to execute actions without complication when breeches occur, because it falls on the shoulders of the landlord. I think we'd see a reduction. Don't hate the player, hate the game. This also helps landlords because they would have the right going into a deal saving them massive amounts of cash in future litigation. Leaving it solely in the city's control, they will lose because the city will take forever, and then dispossess a tenant but the landlord will lose income while they're trying to find a new tenant, so put it on the landlord at the onset to screen commercial tenants and give them the tools for eviction when there is an illegal shop operating with the backing of the city. Problem solved. If a potential tenant applies for space claiming they're going to open up a grocery store and the city finds it's illegal, have the city issue notice which would give the landlord the tools to petition in court. The notice served by the city would be the proof he/she needs to prove Breech of contract. Landlord just has to say, I leased to the tenant they claimed it would be a grocery store and the city found it was an illegal shop. Judges need clear laws to render decisions. If the law is "No illegal pot shops" "City Citation suffices as proof" then there really isn't anything to litigate it's an open and closed case.
