The real champ is the individual who laid the asphalt..it was the perfect amount. Too much and it’s coming out the sides of bucket, too little and there will be low spots…running the hoe is easy, like riding a bike.

@@egomaniac247 Too far back to get good breakdown compaction. Asphalt at that depth looses heat quite rapidly. The breakdown roller should be nearly bumping the "paver", even when the material temperature is 375⁰. Of course there isn't much to breakdown, so maybe it's all good. I imagine the roller is sliding the mateiral down the road anyway, since there isn't any tack to bond it to the existing surface.

@@conqueefador5136 : First you have to get the bike lane grant, then you have money to make a better bike lane, or else a better something else. This is definitely better than just painting bikes in the current pull-over/emergency lane at its current width. This way, there will even be room for some sort of divider. Or, at the least a painted buffer zone!
