It is with a genuine sadness, pangs of intrepidation and a little excitement that I tell you that I have made the monumentally tough decision to gain my independence and move away from Merlin Archery. A company that I have lived and breathed for the last two and a half years. A company that I still hold very dear to my heart.
But it's no secret that I wear my heart on my sleeve and the one thing I love other than my beautiful family, is Traditional and Instinctive Archery, so I've decided to focus on growing instinctive archery in the UK and growing my own Grizzly Jim™ Brand with one-to-one and group tuition, workshops, seminars, traditional archery events and my own line of traditional bow strings Grizzly Strings™, as well as bringing my old KZfaq Channel "Archery Adventures" out of hibernation. / jaykentno10
I can't thank Merlin and Company Director Ben Jones enough for giving me the amazing platform to help promote traditional archery within the UK. Although it's not a complete goodbye to Merlin, I'm sure we will be doing things together in the near future, especially with some of the incredible things that they have planned for next year. But I'm now free to make the films that I want to and the sky is the limit.
I would like to thank everyone as well as Merlin for your incredible support over the past couple of years!
Take care, shoot straight
And I'll see you on the Internet!

Thanks Grizzly Jim, It was your videos that got me first into traditional archery and I still remember binge watching every single one to try and absorb as much knowledge as possible. I'm only 15 and was broke so I couldn't afford a bow at the time. But that still didn't stop me trying to practise my stance in the mirror or pretending to shoot! I would also intently stare at the screws on licence plates as a concentration method you recommended, usually resulting in my Mum asking if I were alright. Thanks Jim for bringing archery and flannel shirts into my life. Cheers, Sol

Thank you Jim. Your videos have been great for me. I live in outback Australia (the nearest traffic lights are 500km away), and there are no other instinctive archers near me (the nearest club is where the traffic lights are!). You have been a great encouragement and I look forward to whatever you do in the future. Keep shooting straight.

Jim thank you so much for all the help you've given with your videos. I tried in vain for ages to get any sort of accuracy but it was always hit and miss. You're the only person who suggested its fine to try something non conventional as long as it works for you. I now have a very unusual anchor, better consistency but most importantly I'm enjoying my archery more. Thanks for helping me enjoy my hobby rather than be frustrated.

I'm actually crying… It's onions, honest 😢 You've sort of been, not just the face of Merlin (in my eyes, anyway), but the face of Archery; I honestly believe I wouldn't have made the decision to get back into Archery, if I'd not found your videos through Merlin... You'll be missed, here, but I've now subscribed to your channel (via the link you gave), and I hope to see more of you on my screen; and I'll make sure you get to see any videos I make, as I start '17 off with some much needed practice 🙂 Have a truly wonderful Christmas & New Year, Grizzly, and I'll see you soon; who knows, if you're ever in Nottingham (the UK one, lol), maybe we'll bump into each other 😊 Much love xxx

to be honest I've never spoken out before but i feel i must say thank you grizzly Jim, one day i signed on to KZfaq to catch a archery video and i was interested but i didn't know what to do or where to start or what to look for, but the first video i say was your shot cycle video and it changed the way i looked at archery and I've never looked back. you are the real reason i got so invested in archery with all the reviews and tutorials you gave me. so I'll be looking for your channel. thank you for all you do grizzly jim.
