"Lawaan" is the Philippine mahogany tree!

Some really nice scenery. The view of the lake is amazing. Once again the waterfall is the star of the video. What an awesome waterfall. I think Therine enjoyed her time there as well. I am thinking Mindanao just might be the place for me to live. Definitely will checking out a lot of places.

Hello, Kyle and Therine. I see in your faces the enjoyment nyou experienced on your tour. I remember the place Lake Leonard, Barangay New Leyte, Maco, Davao de Oro. If you know that there is a copper mine and plant, the North Davao Mining Corp. that operate there in the 1980's. That Lake Leonard was utilized as the tailings pond of the said plant, and I am one of the employees of the contractor, the Capitol Indl. Const. Groups, Inc. who work there to construct the dam for its purpose and also the finishing of the whole plant in early 80's.The Mainit Hot Spring where Therine enjoy so much her bathing in the warm waterfalls is the way going out to Mawab municipality then to Tagum City. I reminisced those days when I'm still 25 and now retired. Keep safe and healthy. Power on 💪

Tambo is the material used in making a broom (walis Tambo), the ribs of coconut leaves when binded together is called stick broom (walis ting-ting)

Watching from Vancouver Island.I went there in January 2020,unfortunately it was closed,had to sneak in to get some pictures.There was a small version just below the road that was open.Incredible beautiful area, swam in some cold springs nearby and passed by a high security gold mine.Big adventure day for me on my Honda TMX.
