Once we have children of our own, our lives are not ours to give away and once we reach a mature age, our life is best spent on making strong pathways for the next generation. I find a lot of peace in Kahil Gibran's 'poem' The Prophet and especially the part titled 'Children'. There's plenty of talk about a life well spent, but what of a death well spent? Speak English, French, Latin or Swahili, anything but CIA!
